Eva didn’t say anything whilst preparing her suitcase. Cody was playing with his robot and cars on the bed when Eva put down her clothes.
“Are you sure about this?” Emilia asked her again. Eva grimaced and pouted.
“I have no choice. But I think I can discuss the loan on the trip. I hope my boss won’t be mad at me.” Eva sighed heavily and then sat on the bedside, thinking about her situation. Emilia felt guilty about burdening her friend with the money. She wanted to help by working outside, but in the meantime, they couldn’t afford to put Cody in daycare.
“I’m sorry, Eve. I should find some money too and help you.” Emilia also sighed in upset. Eva smiled faintly, then rounded her arms on her. She shook her head whilst staring at Emilia.
