Chapter 4: All or Nothing

1336 Words
Sister Housewife had lost her energy sword and had to pull out a new white energy sword from her backpack. Seeing it was a white-grade weapon, she knew its power would be less effective. “It’s okay. Today, I’ll show him what death looks like.” Sister Housewife pulled out a small blue glass vial, which looked like an oral liquid. Chu Ge, recognizing its significance, asked, “What kind of potion is that?” Sister Housewife gritted her teeth and replied, “Consider it a favor to this b*st*rd. This survival gene of mine was meant for BOSS fights, but now I have no choice but to use it.” Gene Warriors rely on gene potions produced by the Federation's chemical factories to grow stronger. Potions are generally divided into two types: permanent and temporary. Permanent potions offer lasting effects but are incredibly rare and expensive. Temporary potions provide a burst of power by causing cells to rapidly mutate. The Survival Gene potion could activate a warrior's potential, doubling their HP instantly. After drinking it, Sister Housewife’s face turned blue, and she looked terrifying, almost like a starving ghost. Vow was beside her, casting healing spells. Her 3000 HP surged to 6000, lasting 15 minutes, indicating she was ready to endure the fight. Seeing Sister Housewife’s blue face, Malagobi’s expression changed. “That b*tch, using drugs. How shameless.” He didn’t dare to be careless and raised his hands, preparing to manipulate the lava. On the cliffside, Hot Chick’s MP5 was no longer idle. Sparks flew from the gun’s muzzle, shooting pointed flames. Bullets clattered against the shield, causing minimal impact, but the shield’s red flames were slowly diminishing. The MP5 was no pushover; it fired 30 bullets and then another 30. With plenty of money for ammunition, Hot Chick wasn’t worried about running out of bullets. No matter how strong the defense, it couldn’t withstand such a sustained attack. This battle was truly a clash of experts. When Sister Housewife charged the stone bridge again, she did so at regular speed. Malagobi waved his hands, and lava surged onto the bridge, creating a magnificent spectacle. Sister Housewife, feeling the pain, quickly activated her "Charge" skill, reducing damage and preventing the lava from knocking her off the bridge as before. This time, Malagobi seemed anxious. During the previous chase, he had already used up all his health potions. Now, he was relying entirely on the shield to delay. Sister Housewife launched a combo attack—"Heaven and Earth Cross Sword" + "Gale Seven s***h" + "Celestial Wolf Explosion s***h". All were level 20 skills, dealing a series of fifteen slashes and kills. Warrior skills were not only practical but also dazzling. On the other side of the bridge, sword light flashed, and the sounds of metal clashing rang out. “A combo attack like that deals at least 2000 damage. This shield can’t withstand such a powerful assault,” Chu Ge observed. Indeed, with a “swish,” as the final sword strike landed, the ground exploded, and the shield vanished without a trace. But Malagobi quickly stepped back two paces. At this moment, two streams of lava sprayed from the sides, targeting Sister Housewife’s waist. His calculations were precise, and his elemental specialization was strong. The accuracy of his spells was very high. Sister Housewife had a 3-second cooldown after her combo attack, and Malagobi used this gap to strike. “Boom, boom,” two streams of lava hit the cliff, engulfing Sister Housewife completely. In the red lava, a white light representing data streams rose, slowly ascending into the air before vanishing. “Second Sister!” Vow’s scream was no longer one of shock but complete silence. Sister Housewife had fallen. Anyone would have succumbed to such a powerful attack. Chu Ge saw clearly that while Sister Housewife was on the bridge, the damage numbers over her head flew about like a swarm of bees—“—50, —52, —786, —777…” With the bridge’s burn damage, each lava stream dealt close to 800 points of fire damage. 6000 HP couldn’t last long. But Malagobi had certainly exerted his full effort to activate the lava. Malagobi laughed heartily, “D*mn, you dare to challenge my wits and skills?” Hot Chick glanced at her watch; there were only 1 minute and 56 seconds left before the 24-hour mark. She couldn’t afford any more delays. Seeing her good sister’s tragic death, she could no longer stay calm. She quickly took out a health potion and slapped it on her thigh, picking up her MP5 submachine gun and charging onto the stone bridge. “Elder Sister.” Vow, anxious, couldn’t help but shout, but she quickly stopped. Her elder sister had a stubborn temperament; no one could restrain her when she was determined. Hot Chick’s situation on the bridge was even worse than Sister Housewife’s. The damage numbers above her head were all “—60, —62, —63,” and the heat from below was intense. But her face showed determination and killing intent, clearly ready to fight to the death. Malagobi, not to be outdone, resumed his previous tactics. Two streams of lava surged towards Hot Chick. Unlike Sister Housewife, Hot Chick didn’t try to tank it. She dove forward and rolled on the spot, miraculously avoiding most of it. However, the lava streams were too large, and the edges hit her back, scorching her combat suit and displaying a “—414” damage number. “Elder Sister, be careful.” Vow’s hand was over her chest, deeply worried. Hot Chick was level 24 with just over 2000 HP. Being hit five times would mean death. But Hot Chick followed an agility and ranged specialization path, enhancing her defense, speed, and long-range capabilities. She rolled out and immediately stood up, firing her gun while charging, with bullets pouring out like rain. Malagobi wasn’t an easy target either. He saw that these women were desperate and, having lost his shield, endured the onslaught. Bullets hit him from all sides, with blood splattering and damage numbers continuously rising. “—33, —38, —50, —57, —61…” To Vow, these numbers seemed meaningless, merely futile attempts before death. But Chu Ge’s eyes lit up. The red damage numbers were increasing because the distance was closing, and the bullets’ power was significantly enhanced. Malagobi’s purple armor had excellent defensive capabilities. “—80, —88, —90…” Suddenly, a green “—200” damage number appeared. Chu Ge saw clearly that this bullet hit Malagobi’s belly armor, a weak point. The green number indicated a critical hit, showing Malagobi’s weak spot was his belly button. However, Hot Chick made a mistake. She was accustomed to aiming for heads, but not everyone’s head was a weak spot. Malagobi’s helmet blocked most of the bullets’ damage, which was around “—60.” Nevertheless, Hot Chick’s series of bullets were no joke. In just a few seconds, Malagobi lost over 600 HP. “D*mn, die!” Malagobi finally lost his temper, wielding his energy staff and swinging it wildly. The lava in the pool erupted, with at least eight streams of lava crashing onto the bridge, turning it completely red. Hot Chick had no way to avoid it. She cursed, “Sh*t.” With a flash, a white light rose, and Hot Chick fell as well. “Haha, haha, haha, even the biggest b*tch is gone. Haha, it feels great,” Malagobi panted with laughter. On the other side of the bridge, Chu Ge packed away his sensor and said expressionlessly, “Give me a heal.” Vow, filled with grief and rage, nearly threw the entire medical kit at Chu Ge. Seeing Chu Ge brandishing a revolver and preparing to charge, Malagobi suddenly said, “Wait! Bro, you’re definitely not from Blue Ocean Corporation!” Chu Ge was taken aback, “How do you know?”
