Kayla's heart races at what feels like a million beats per second. Running through the forest became natural for her, and for once it felt good for her not to be running away from danger, but instead towards it. Alpha Nate runs at the head of the attack force, Beta Eric and Gamma Tierri following closely at this sides, both of them in their Wolf forms while Alpha Nate remains in his Human form.
The strongest and fastest of them is what makes up the attack force, including Reece, Jo, Zeera and Cade, along with 7 other Pack members, and Vincent.
Kayla understands completely why he wouldn't want her coming on this mission. All he wants to do is protect her, but she needs him to see how capable she is of protecting herself, especially now that she's a Lycan.
