Naomi and Kayla finally reach the door of their mother’s bedroom and they both glance at each other before Naomi is the one to knock on it. After a few moments, they hear the soft reply of their mother, prompting them to open the door and make their way inside, finding their mother sitting in bed with a book in her hand, her back laid on the pillows behind her.
