Flo frowned. “Do you feel sick in the mornings when you get up?” I thought for a moment. “I have a couple of times.” “Hmm. Are extra tired sometimes?” “Yeah.” Flo grinned, chewing her gum. “Baby you ain’t sick. I think you’re pregnant.” I froze. “What? No way. I’m not preggers. There’s no way.” She sat back in her chair. “You’re sleeping with that man, aren’t you?” I nodded almost defiantly. She shrugged. “Then there you go. You can’t play with fire and not get burned.” “But-” For the first time in a long time, Flo gave me a kind smile. “Don’t worry your pretty little head over it.
