We lay together, sweaty, spent and sated for the moment. He held me close to his side as our breathing slowly returned to normal. I snuggled against him and he pulled the sheets over our bodies. “You’re incredible,” he whispered. “It’s never been this way for me before.” I grinned. “You’re welcome,” I said lightly. “You’re not so bad yourself, Sergeant.” He chuckled softly. “Thanks. I think.” We stayed quiet for a while, just enjoying each other’s company. I closed my eyes, enjoying the feel of him, warm and relaxed against me.
