I groaned in frustration as I rolled onto my bed, trying to forget this stupid excitement in my chest. Unable to do so, I grabbed my guitar and notebook and headed to my spot with a sandwich in my mouth, held between my lips. I ate on my boulder as I processed my feelings the only way I knew how…through music. Before I knew it, hours had passed and Tiff was calling, telling me she was on her way. I hurriedly collected my things and raced home, hiding my guitar behind my long coats. My notebook had a better hiding spot — beneath a loose floorboard in the same closet.
