Chapter 13

A few days has gone since the wedding date was set and Laura had gone bridezilla a little to early. She had found the perfect catering service but they had some problem and she had to pick another one which made her change the flower arrangements and with that the colors. And that made the whole wedding crash down on her head causing her to start all over again. And this all happened within almost two weeks.

”You saw the mess your mother had made on the dining room table right?” Luke asked as they were driving to school that Tuesday.

”Yeah, she actually yelled at me for like a minute asking what to do about the chairs..” Sasha giggled.

”About the chairs? Really?” He asked between laughs.

”Yes, and I think I only made it worse by choosing the wrong one.. ”She giggled. ”I just don’t get the whole hysteria about weddings.” Sasha confessed even if she always thought that she would be the same when it came to her own wedding.

”I bet you’re gonna be like that at your own wedding so just wait.” The memory of her perfect wedding dress entered her mind as did the picture she had of Luke by her side while wearing it.

”I don’t know, I understand wanting to find the right dress and all but all the little things just doesn’t really matter.” She shrugged her shoulders and looked out the window.

”We’ll see about that, just don’t come to me when you can’t choose which type of beige you should have on the napkins.” He said and chuckled a little.

”I would never do that, it’s what I have Mel for.” She said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

”Right..” He said as they pulled up in at the school parking lot. When he stopped the car he turned to look at Sasha.

”What?” She asked questioning about the way he was looking at her.

”Nothing, you’re just so beautiful and I keep thinking that I haven’t had you to myself all morning.” He whispered as he leaned closer to her.

”Is that right?” She asked in the same flirty tone as Luke had.

”Mhm” He said, almost un audible.

The suspense built up within the few seconds it took them to get as close as they could without actual lip contact. Luke put his hand to the side of her face and closed the small space between them. He licked her bottom lip asking for permission to enter and she didn’t think twice about giving it to him. His tongue explored her mouth like it was the first time he had kissed her. It started to heat up as Luke put his arms to her waist and pulled her onto his lap. Sasha put her hands at his neck to pull him closer and deepen their kiss. With that his hands were under her shirt making their way up and taking the shirt with them.

There was a knock on the car window, both of them ignoring it. This was their moment and wasn’t gonna stop. There was another knock that was placed with a lot more force and it didn’t stop, making them pull apart and opening the window.

”What the hell is going on here??” Mel asked more shocked than she had ever been in her entire life. Sasha and Luke just looked at each other for a second before looking back at their best friends standing on the other side of the car door.

”Well.. eh.. we were just.. eh.. oh..” Sasha tried to speak but didn’t manage to form a sentence.

”Sasha??” Mel didn’t want excuses, she wanted to truth and she wanted it now.

”We’ve been seeing each other for about two weeks, alright.” Luke answered for her.

”You’ve what??” Liam almost yelled out surprised as he joined in the conversation.

”Yeah.. it sort of happened after the party and I was gonna tell you we just didn’t want to make things more complicated.” Sasha said, addressing her best friend.

”I just can’t believe that you could keep it a secret for so long.. I mean you’re not really that subtle.” Melody said hinting on their recent position.

”Oh..” Luke said as he scratched his neck after Sasha climbed back into the passenger seat before getting out of the car and letting Luke do the same.

They walked towards school and the girls were walking slower than the guys to talk about everything.

”So your not mad?” Sasha asked, looking at the ground.

”Why would I be bad since I saw this coming before you even knew about any of it. I’m just offended that you would keep it from me..” Mel exclaimed.

”I’m sorry that we didn’t tell you, it’s just with our whole home situation it’s complicated and I didn’t want to add to that.” Sasha continued, wanting to explain why they hadn’t said anything.

”I get it, plus the whole sneaking around thing is kinda hot. Right?” Mel wiggled her brows making them both laugh.

”Yeah, and nerve wracking at the same time. I keep thinking that mom or Paul is gonna walk in on us every time.” Sasha said and blushed a little.

”I know the feeling.. So..” She looked at her friend with suspense.

”What?” Sasha asked, not knowing what her friend was hinting at.

”I want details!!” She exclaimed.

”I don’t really know what to say.” She thought of their time together and just smiled.

”Just tell me what happened.” Mel said, trying to make this easier for Sasha even if it didn’t make much of a difference.

”Okay, so there might have been a few moments between us. You know the girls bathroom, my old room, at the club and all of that. But at the party I might have a few too many drinks and got into some trouble with Brian and Luke sort of saved me and things just took a turn from there.” Sasha told the story of how things went from teasing to romance within days.

”Brian? What did he do?” Mel asked as anger filled her senses.

”Nothing, he just wanted more than I was gonna give him and Luke put a stop to that.” Sasha didn’t want to get into it, not here and not now.

”Classic love story. I knew it.” Mel bought the explanation that Sasha had given her.

”Cause it’s so classic to be dating your brother.” Sasha said and got shivers by the word brother.

”He’s not your real brother and even if your parents do get married it still legal for you to be together.” Mel said like it was nothing to worry about, but there was.

”I know but it’s still weird you know. And talking about weird..” She drifted back to the memory that had come back a lot lately.

”What?” Mel was intrigued.

”So I was helping my mom find her wedding dress and I ended up finding my own.” Sasha whispered so no one else could hear.

”You what???” She yelled a little to loud and almost every eye in the hallway turned to them.

”I know! But it was just the perfect dress and I couldn’t help but see Luke standing next to me while wearing it..” Sasha kept whispering.

”That is weird and so a dream about the future. Cause you two would make the cutest babies.” Melody started daydreaming about a possible future.

”Yeah.. I’m not thinking that far into the future.” She laughed her friends wild imagination.

”Well you might have to do that because of your parents.” Mel’s words really got to her even if she didn’t want to show it.

”Well I’m not gonna think about it now.. So you and Liam. How’s it going?” Sasha changed the subject.

”It’s going great and things have heated up since the party..” Mel said proudly.

”We heard..” Sasha said and laughed at her friends face as it grew red.

”You what?”

”We heard, you guys weren’t exactly quiet when you went for round two the next morning.” Sasha said and kept laughing.

”Oh, I’m so embarrassed...” She said and buried her face in her hands.

”Don’t be, we ran out of there as soon as we could.” She couldn’t help but tear her friend just because it would be exactly what she would have done.

”Good, cause that was just the beginning.” She said with a grin on her face.

”I don’t need any details Mel! Trust me, I have already heard enough.” She laughed again.

”Well if you don’t wanna talk about me then we are gonna be talking about you and Luke.” Mel pointed out.

”Well... Actually there is one thing.” Sasha said, which caught Melody’s interests.

”You slept with him already?” She guessed.

”NO!” She said quickly. ”I told him about Alex.” Melody didn’t even know all of what had gone down when Alex was still in her life. She knew that it was more to the story than she ever told but she figured that she would tell her when she was ready.

”Wow, that’s big. I don’t even know everything. You really love him, don’t you?”

”I think that I might.” Sasha smiled at the words.

”I never thought I’d see the day. Sasha Marie Harris, in love with the last guy you would think of.. I’m impressed.”

”He surprises me more each day that has me falling for him even more for every minute that passes by.”

”I’m happy that you’re happy Sasha!” She said and gave her a big hug before class started.

”So you and Harris huh?” Liam asked, looking at Luke as they walked towards the school.

”I know.. you were right. I’m falling for her.” Luke admitted, Liam just laughed as Luke had said it like he had no clue.

”I just wanted to hear you say it.” He said proudly as they walked over to their lockers.

”Just don’t go around dropping hints about it cause this is complicated enough as it.” Luke wanted to be clear on that.

”Yeah, how is it gonna work with your parents and everything? Are you gonna tell them any time soon?” Liam was curious.

”I don’t think so, not yet at least. The wedding is kind of putting us in a timeframe though.” Luke frowned at the thought of things changing.

”I don’t get how your parents haven’t caught you two yet..” Liam said and hinten to their moment in the car just minutes before.

”It was getting close just few days ago actually.” Luke said and looked up at his friend that just smirked at him.

”I glad that you’re getting some. Cause when you don’t, you get cranky.” Liam laughed a little but the subject made Luke uneasy since it was a sore issue for him and Sasha.

”Mhm, yeah.” He said not really wanting to talk about it and Liam noticed that and continued.

”Wait.. you’re not?” Liam asked kind of shocked that Luke didn’t seem to mind, if it had been any other girl before this it would matter.

”No, just drop it.” He didn’t want to tell Liam why he wasn’t sleeping with Sasha. It wasn’t his story to tell.

”Why?” He asked anyway.

”Because she’s not ready and life isn’t about s*x Liam.” Luke was getting annoyed by his never ending questions.

”I get that, I mean it took about a month before Mel and I did any of that. Those things take time but it’s worth the wait.” Liam surprised Luke by his reaction and words.

”Wait, your telling me that at the party was the first time for you guys?” Luke asked surprised.

”First, second, third.. and so on.” He smirked as he entered the classroom and sat down next to Mel at the back and Luke next to Sasha in front of them.

The first classes that day went on like it always did except for Luke and Sasha’s secret ’catch up and make out’ time during lunch that wasn’t happening. They all cut out of the classes after lunch and went to the beach. Since Sasha’s mom would be at the house all day Sasha borrowed a bikini from Melody and Luke got trunks from Liam. Not that having been grounded with your boyfriend was that bad but they didn’t really want that to continue. Sneaking around was hot and all that but nothing compared to get out of their little world at home and go to places where no one knew them or their story so they were considered a normal couple that could hold hands or kissing without being paranoid that someone that shouldn’t know about them would see or needing to keep behind closed doors. As soon as Sasha put her feet in to warm sand and Luke put his arm around her waist, she felt all her problem and troubles lifted from her shoulders. This was want she wanted from life, being able to show the world just how much she loved the boy standing next to her. Then again the first step would be to actually tell him that she loved him, one step at a time, she told herself as they walked to a good spot to put their towels at. The guys ran down to the water as soon as their towels were laying good in the sand while the girls stayed behind to enjoy the sun for a moment. They were laying there in silent until Mel broke it.

”So are you telling your parents any time soon?” Melody asked and turned to her best friend.

”I honestly don’t know Mel.” She answered sincerely.

”I get that it’s hard but you have to at some point. You’re becoming step siblings for crying out loud, I think they should know sooner than later.” Sasha had to admit that Melody had a point, the longer she put it off the longer the bigger deal it will become. She knew that.

”I know that too Mel! It’s just that if we tell them and they make us break up, I’ll end up hating them. And if they think that us being together is something that they can live with, I know that my mother is gonna wanna cancel the wedding or at least postpone it until we eventually break up or something. And then I’ll hate everyone, including myself and Luke for letting it get to that point.” Sasha laid all of her thoughts out there.

”Or you get to keep dating Luke while your parents are married. I mean it’s not the worst thing in the world as long as your parents know about your relationship you can work thing out in one way or another. And don’t even try thinking about breaking up with him, cause he’s the best thing that’s happened to you since ever and you know it.” Mel wasn’t going to let her do this to herself, just like she did with everything else. She deserved more than she let herself have or even reach for.

”I guess.. I know Mel and I can’t get that picture out of my head with me in that wedding dress and Luke standing next to me. I know it’s soon to even have those thoughts but I can’t help it but I’m falling for him even more for each day that goes by.” She blushed at her own words.

”Does that mean that you actually slept with him??” Mel said almost loud enough for the guy to hear,

”Mel! You know..” She was cut off by a shadow cover the sun and the water drops that fell from the shadows hair down on her skin. ”What are you doing Luke?” She asked the shadow.

”Getting you to join me in the water.” He smirked at her.

”And how do you suppose you do that?” She teased him.

”Like this..” He said as he grabbed her by the waist and threw her over his shoulder.

”Luke!! Put me down!!” She yelled as she pounded on his bare back and kicking her feet around. It didn’t take long until he was standing in the water.

”Sure.” He simply said and dropped her in the water.

”Oh, you are so dead!!” She exclaimed once she got back up to the surface and started to splash water at Luke.

Luke didn’t wait a second to run after her and put his arms around her waist and spun her around in the water. After about two turns he stopped and pulled her closer to him as they were face to face.

”Hi.” He said as his breath hovered on her lips.

”Hi.” She said back and closed the small space between them with a sweet lingering kiss.

”Aww, you guys are so cute!” She yelled over at the couple from her place on the shore. Sasha pulled apart from Luke for a moment and let out a small giggle.

”It feels good being able to do this out in the open for once.” She said with a huge smile.

”It sure does.” He said as he leaned in for another kiss.
