Chapter #2.The mysterious letter.

“Mom I’m back from the grocery store, hmm I wonder where she went?

Maybe she’s asleep?

Anyhow, I’ll just put all the groceries away so that way we can actually eat in the morning.”

As Valery takes out all the groceries and puts them all away and looks inside the bags to see if there was anything left, Valery sees a letter in the bag, as she picked it up and started to read it, as it said

*Dear Valery, you do not know who I am, but I know who you are. I know that you are cursed, so am I, but for me it’s worse. I can help you control your powers.

I know you're in danger and I know this information, because I’ve been keeping a very close eye on you and I have been protecting you for the last 17 years and since you turned 18.

You’ve been blocking the connection for me in order to protect you.

I know it’s probably confusing and hard for you to hear all this, but I’m your brother.

We got ripped away from each other from birth and sorry if.

I creeped you out later today, but I wasn’t raised as well as you were. Dad abandoned me when I was five.

I walked into the woods and found some help. I found people that helped me learn self-control, but I always knew in my heart that I had a long-lost sibling I never got to fully meet, but since I laid eyes on you I knew that you were extraordinary, Sincerely.Zeke*

After a while, Valery went upstairs and went to her room and walked out to her small balcony and saw a figure outside looking up at her, as Valery slowly backed up and closed her balcony doors, as she shut off her lights and went to bed and decided to ignore the figure because it could have been an animal.

*Night time passed by and morning came*

Valery woke up and opened her bedroom door and walked down the stairs and got her breakfast.

Valery suddenly got a text from an unknown number ,saying, “I’ve got your mother. If you ever want to see your mother ever again, you have to follow these instructions.

Go into the woods behind your house and keep walking straight until further instructions”

Valery walks out her back door worrying about her mother's life.

Not having any choice but to follow the instructions, she went into the woods and kept walking forward, as Valery suddenly got a phone call from the same unknown number, as she picked it up and the voice on the other side said “Were you followed?

Valery then replied back with “I'm not sure why?

The guy on the phone call with Valery says “Check around, do you see anyone and no asking questions?”

Valery then says “Okay, there is nobody following me. I just want my mother back. Could you tell me when you can give me her back. Please let me hear her voice so I know she’s still alive, so I can have some hope please”

The guy’s voice then said “Fine, you can hear her voice.”

Valery’s mother then says “Valery runs back home. I’ll be fine sweetheart. They don’t know what you look like yet, but if they find out you're going to be in big trouble, they will never give me back to you.”

As Valery said, “Don’t worry mom, I won’t let them hurt you. I’m coming to save you.”

The guy’s voice returned to the phone and said “There now, back to the instructions, keep going straight and, once you see lights, enter a cave beside the lights and you're there”, as the guy hung up.

Valery keeps walking, as Valery suddenly hears some rattling in the bushes, as Valery says “Uhm hello, is anyone there?

If somebody is here with me say something, I’m already jumpy.”

Zeke suddenly walks out from the bushes and says “It’s okay Valery, it’s just me, your brother Zeke.

What’s wrong, sister, is there anything I can help with?

Valery then says in a shaky voice “N-No I’m fine, I just have to do something important now. If you excuse me, I have to keep going see you around Zeke.”

As Valery continued on her way, as Zeke ran in front of Valery, as Zeke’s eyes changed color from brown to a dark red and the dark red covered the white of his eyes, as his fangs showed, as Zeke said “Wait! Valery, I can tell when your hiding something from me now. Please tell me what’s going on”

Valery then says “Okay, I’m trying to save my mom.

People took her hostage and if I don’t follow these instructions they will do something terrible to her and I have to do it by myself. Now I can’t keep them waiting.”

Valery then walks around Zeke and continues to follow instructions. As a few minutes had passed by, Valery got to the place that the guy’s voice said and she came across lights and a cave near the lights, as she walked into the entrance of the cave, as it was pitch black inside the cave.

Valery suddenly took out her phone and turned on her phone’s flashlight, as she kept walking forward into the cave, as she then heard the guy’s voice say “Come follow me. It’s the way to your mother, I promise.”

Valery then followed the guy to where he took her mother.

As a couple of minutes passed by, the guy said “. Just walk through this door to get your mother. See now how hard were those instructions?

Valery then opens the door as Valery says “Mom come on, I’m here for you.”

Valery then sits down on the ground and carefully lifts her mother up onto her lap,as she hears her mother faintly say “My sweet Valery… I am so sorry I never told you about your brother…..but right now….. stay with him he will protect you……..

Promise me that you will stay with him….I won’t be around to protect you.”

As Valery’s mother puts her cold hand shakily onto Valery’s right cheek and looks into her eyes, Valery’s mother dies in Valery’s lap.

Valery then says “Mom,Mom please wake up, you will be alright,you will see me grow up,you just have to open your eyes.”

Zeke suddenly comes running into the cave and says “Valery, stop, it’s a trap. Leave immediately.”
