The Cursed Ones

Chapter #4.The pack meeting.

As Valery says “Zeke, I’m just going out for a little while, just stay here and rest. I’ll be back very soon.”

Valery then runs out the back door and into the woods in the direction of the pack. At first, Zeke thought Valery was acting suspicious, so Zeke decided to follow her to make sure she’s safe, but Zeke stayed in hiding from a distance so Valery didn't catch him.

After a while, Valery makes it to her pack and Ryker meets up with Valery and brings her to where Mocha is.

Valery runs up to Mocha, and sees that she is lying down.Valery then goes on her knees and slowly puts her small fingers gently in Mocha’s bullet hole wound and grabs the bullet carefully and takes it out and starts stitching the open wound up and, then puts bandages on the stitching so the blood won’t leak out that much.

Mocha then says “Thank you so much Valery. I’m in your debt right now. I owe you for saving my life”

Valery then says “Just get some rest right now. You need to heal”

Mocha then says “What’s wrong with Val?

As Valery says, “Nothing Mocha, I am fine but thanks for asking anyway.”

Mocha then sits up a bit while wincing in pain and says “Val, I know when something is up.

I know you well enough and you know me well enough.To know that, when one of us is dealing with something the other one tries to help them.

We are like sisters. Just tell me what is bothering you.”

Valery then looks down and says “Fine,your right, there is something wrong.My mother was killed today and now I don’t know what to do with myself” as tears started to run down Valery’s face.

Mocha then strains herself and hugs Valery and says “I am so sorry for your loss, Valery.If there is anything I can do for you to make it easier, just let me know.”

Valery then hugs Mocha and says “Thank you Mocha”

As Ryker roams around his territory, he then catches a familiar smell in the air, as Ryker’s eyes turn bright red and tells the pack to get ready. There’s a vampire near.

Ryker then shifts into his wolf form and searches for the vampire with some of the pack following behind him.

As Valery says “Just stay in the den I’ll be back”, as Valery shifts into her wolf form and meets up with the rest of the pack.

Zeke’s eyes then turn dark red almost into black, as Zeke’s fangs come out for protection, as he goes to find Valery, as he catches her scent and follows it to a pack of wolves.

Ryker then smells the vampire right around the corner and Ryker jumps at the vampire, but Zeke dodges it and holds onto a tree branch high enough so they can’t reach Zeke.

Ryker then shifts back into human form and Ryker says “Come on down vampire, we won’t hurt you.

But you will get off my pack's space, so here is your first warning and your last leave now and you won’t get hurt this time.”

Zeke then jumps down and says “I’m trying to find my little sister. I tracked her down to this area. I need to know if she’s safe.

Her name is Valery. Do you know her?

As Valery shifts back to human form and walks up beside Ryker and says “Zeke, why are you here?

I told you to stay home. I said, I would be back soon.

This area is dangerous for you.

Please go back home. I don’t want you to be dead. I only have you and the pack and I would hate myself if you got killed.”

Ryker then says “Valery, how are you even related to a vampire? You're nothing like him. He’s a killer. He kills both living things, people and animals, and you are.

So caring, loving,generous, you just have the best personality.

I know and when you look at him he can’t even stand the sight of blood. He drains people dry.

There is no self-control for vampires. I know this because my family was attacked by vampires.

There is nothing good about them. They are the enemy and they always will be the enemy.

They have only three emotions: 1 is anger, 2nd, hunger, 3rd and final is the worst of all, depression.

It's when they act all nice and loving to you, but they wait until you're asleep to kill you when it’s the right moment.”

As Zeke says, “For some, that's true, but not me. I've controlled all of my emotions, even my hunger.

I even saved Valery from death because that's what big brothers do and I've already made my promise and I intend to keep it!

Zeke then continues to say “I’ll see you at home Valery.”

As Zeke starts walking back home, he makes sure he’s not followed back home.

After a while, he gets back home and walks into the basement, and closes the basement door and goes over to a wall and punches it extremely hard, as it leaves a big hole in the wall and lets out a loud scream in anger.

As tears come out from his eyes, because he hates being accused of being a savage killer and hearing false claims about him, because every vampire isn’t the same.

Ryker then says “It’s okay Valery, it’s not your fault at all that your brother is a vampire.

I promise to protect you so no harm will come your way and I will keep an eye on your brother, to make sure he doesn’t try to kill you. We wolves are supposed to stick together through thick and thin. We all have to protect one another’’

Valery then says “I don’t need protection from my own brother.”

Ryker then looks into Valery’s eyes and says “How well do you even know this guy Valery?

Their kind and our kind do not get along at all! I just don’t want you to get hurt by him. I love you Valery”

Valery then says “I can sense that Zeke won’t hurt me.”

Ryker suddenly puts his arms around Valery’s waist.

Then Ryker pulls Valery close to him and kisses her on her lips passionately.

Valery then kisses Ryker back,then after a few minutes Valery pulls away and says “I love you too.I understand why you worry about my safety, Ryker,but you know that I can decide for myself whether it is safe or not.

Also the thing between us we can resume it later.”

Ryker then says “I am still going to keep an eye on you to make sure you stay safe.

Also, when we resume this I will be waiting.”

Ryker hugs Valery because he senses that she is going to go back home.

Valery then says “What was that for?”

Ryker then says “What, I’m not allowed to hug you?

Valery suddenly smiles and says “Yeah you are allowed to hug me.”

Ryker then says “Thanks for the permission beta, or should I say my Alpha female?

Valery then says “It would be an honor to be your Alpha female Ryker.”

Ryker then says “Thank you Valery for accepting it.You won’t regret it”.
