Trevor and Abby have been enemies for almost ten years now. What started as a high school feud has now taken residence in their workplace. Things were smooth for a while since they graduated high school. Went to different colleges and all, but ended up in the same hospital two years ago. Since then they as well as the people surrounding them have lost all peace and serenity.

The one place which brought them happiness has now become torture for them, except for when they are with their patients, doing what they love.

What will happen now if they both have to work together, to treat a patient, refusing to which might make them lose everything they have worked for so hard?

Nuisance- Abby
"Am I clear Ms. Falls?" Dr. Dey repeated. "Yes" "Mr. King, can I expect some control on your behalf too? Dr. Dey said, this time looking at him. "Yes Doctor" "Both of you can leave now" Saying so he focused once again on his laptop. Third time. This is the third time, this month, I have been called to his office. That too for this pathetic excuse of a human being. Trevor King. Life used to be so good before he came back to my life, God must hate me for something I did in my previous life. "No, this is karma biting you back in the ass" I turned to look at him, a scowl covering my face now. I must have said the last sentence out loud. Before we could start another argument, Dr, Dey cleared his throat, gaining our attention. He raised one eyebrow, letting us know how serious he was. Not wanting to flush down my entire career because of this piece of s**t, I turned around and left the office first. I headed straight to the cafeteria. I cannot deal with the whole day without some coffee, and unfortunately, it was only ten in the morning. I had the whole day left. . . . "They can't do that, can they?" May asked as I checked all the appointments I had for the day. May had been my best friend since we were in diapers. We were over the moon to get our residencies at the same hospital. Although my happiness only lasted for two days since I came here. There he was, Trevor King, my arch-nemesis. He has been on my ass since that little mishap in high school. "Yes, they actually can. There have been complaints from other doctors as well as a few family members of the patients." I replied to her, while she nodded sadly. "Are we really that disruptive?" I look at her, and her face shows me my answer. "Well, I'll see you later. Try to keep yourself in control." Saying so she runs off in the opposite direction before I can confront her regarding my behavior. I am always in control, I don't have outbursts like Trevor. I handle things very calmly. Not my fault if he reacts explosively. The rest of the day goes on with me dealing with my patients. During lunch, I decided to take a half an hour break, as I had no appointments or work for some time. I went to May's workplace to see if she was free. She told me to give her ten minutes. So, I went to the cafeteria and got our usual. The cafeteria was filled with people at this time. The only table left empty was one at the end of the cafeteria. I jogged there with the food in my hand. Upon reaching the table, I placed my tray and pulled out the chair. Unfortunately, my ass didn't land on the chair. It landed on the floor. I looked around only to find the bane of my existence. He had a smug look on his face which I wanted to claw out of his face. I quickly got up and tried to pull the chair from his grip. The keyword obviously being tried. Damn, he has an iron grip. "Leave it!! I came here first." I whisper shouted, to avoid any more complaints. "Aha! Yet, you couldn't sit first. This place is mine now." Saying so, he shoved me aside and sat down. Before he could bring his food to his mouth, I swatted his hand out of the way and glared down at him. Time skip to ten minutes later: A big crowd has been gathered. Few people had amused looks, while the majority had an irritated look. Right in between the crowd was me and Trevor. On the ground, fighting over the table. I had his hair in my hand, while he had a chokehold on me. It wasn't tight enough to restrict my airflow but to restrict my movement. Neither of us was willing to let go, even if it was hurting us both. "ENOUGH!!!!" A loud voice boomed, dissipating the crowd. Both our grips loosened when we realized who it was. Our eyes met, and for the first time in our life, we agreed to something, We are f****d!!! . . . We have never seen Dr. Dey this furious. Never. He was pacing back and forth in his office, while Trevor and I stood in one corner. The close proximity didn't matter this time. All we knew was everything we worked for so hard was now on the line. Dr. Dey looked at us, the anger in his eyes slowly leaving. He let out a sigh of exhaustion and sat down behind his table. He held his face in his hands and rubbed his face. He looked beyond exhausted, and I felt guilty for being the reason. When he looked up at us, he motioned us to sit. "Look, I do not know what happened between you two, and I don't want to know. It's obvious that you two have some sort of past. Sort it out. One more fight, or argument, and both of you are out. I do not care if you are our best residents. Now leave." He says in one breath and doesn't wait for us to even speak a word. Trevor tries to defend himself when Dr. Dey shuts him down. I couldn't help but snicker at his deflated look. Trevor abruptly turned his face towards me to sneer at me. Before another fight could escalate, I got up and left the office, and Trevor followed behind me. He pushed me with his shoulders while passing me. It took everything in me to not lash out once again, because if I lose this job and go back home..... No. I don't even want to think about it. I am not letting some acne from my past, a big nuisance, mess up my present and future. No matter how much he instigates me, I am not going to react. If he gets no reaction, he wouldn't continue. . . .
