CHAPTER 9 Four days later, Penrys leaned back from the table in her room and stretched her back. It seemed like hours since she’d left the room for lunch. The first gleaning of the bookshops in Tavnastok had been completed. The books for Najud had gone straight to the warehouse near the landing to join the others, but the ones for her project were here. One bookcase was filled and the overflow had begun for the second one. She didn’t have everything she needed—the notebook open before her had a growing list of books that she knew existed, many in the Collegium’s library.
