After lunch with Rhett, we made our way to my parents’ pack grounds. The sun was already starting to make its way down the horizon. Danny and Gillian were already downing some tree in the distance to create a funeral pyre. I joined Maya and Ruby as Rhett and Markus joined the effort.
It was well past dusk when the pyre was ready. We were gathered around it as Rhett and Markus laid Lucian on top of the pyre.
