I gasped. The women’s contagion?
He looked seriously concerned. “The doctor doesn’t know what’s caused it. He says the wounds on her arms look fine. But she’s out of her head, and her skin feels like she’s on fire.”
Out of her head? “You must return to her. Don’t leave her side.” The air felt chill; I pulled my wrapper around me. “I’ll come at once.”
