“Gideon has worked diligently,” X began, his voice carrying a weight of importance, “and he has strong connections in the human world.”
I opened my mouth to ask about it, but the sound of a distinct knock interrupted me. X, with a fluid motion, approached the door. As it swung open, my eyes softened at the sight of Alpha Hunter, Luna Roseline, Vampire King Vincent, and the Witch Queen Ariana standing in the doorway. X extended a welcoming gesture, inviting them into the room.
"Fae Queen!" Alpha Hunter greeted me warmly.
