“Yes, sir, ” he said nodding his head and turning back to the screen. He turned the volume low as he continued to watch the torture of our brother.
Julius got up and we all followed him into the living room. Jasmine went to stand beside Julius and held into his arm; aligning herself beside her king. She stood proudly but with a tight unnatural smile. I pulled Ophelia into my lap and held her close. I needed her scent to help the uneasy feeling settle into me.
“I'm just going to be upfront about this now, ” he said gripping Jasmine to his side. “Ryan is biological to me. He has alpha blood in his veins.”
