“Boss, we have a visitor, ” Calico announced. “Julius Cohen just arrived.”
I looked at the security monitor in the office to see a Lexus pulling down the drive. I stood and followed Calico outside to receive our visitor. I tried to keep the smug look off my face as they parked and Julius exited the vehicle with the little imp from the meetings.
Julius’s eyes turned black the closer he came to me. The imp’s face is flat and stoic as usual. I smiled brightly as they stopped at the edge of the steps.
“Why, Julius, what brings you here?” I said cheerfully.
“You know exactly what I’m doing here, ” he growled. “Give me my son.”
“Your son?” I feigned confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Don't play stupid, ” he sneered. “You were on my territory again, you took my son, now give him back.”
