Ophelia and I spent the day together alone in the house. I could tell she wasn’t used to being inside as she’d often stand at the large glass doors that was basically a glass wall overlooking the forest. It wasn’t safe for her to leave the cabin though; we couldn’t even open any of the windows otherwise her scent would drift out.
“Ophie, do you see anything out there?” I asked when I caught her standing and staring for over five minutes.
“No,” she said. “I just feel like I’ve seen this forest before.”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“There’s something so familiar about it,” she said walking from one side of the glass wall to the other. “I want to go outside so bad and explore.”
