Chapter Ninety three: Cornered in the store room

"The lady I'm talking about is none other than you Kyra. You are the one I've always have a crush on. I don't know much about you so I wasn't able to ask you out for a date. Also, I feel that it's improper to be in a relationship while we are all on a crucial mission." Greg said.

"You fool, why didn't you tell me sooner. You should have tell me how you feel even if you can't ask me out for a date. Do you know how stupid you are?" Kyra said.

"I'm so sorry.. I don't know how you will react if I tell you how I feel and you know that it's not right to just approach a lady and ask her out on a date without knowing about her. I don't know much about you and to know that I must first be a close friend to you before I could ask you out for a date. I'm so sorry for acting stupid and for not telling you sooner." Greg said.

"Come here you little bunny." Kyra said and Greg shifted a bit closer to her, giving her a hug. Kyra placed Greg's head on her chest and he could feel the warmth of her body and her steady heartbeat.

"It's amazing how our heart beats at the same time. We really are soul mates of each other." Greg said.

"Really? let me hear yours." Kyra said and Greg allowed her to place her head on his chest.

"Can you hear it? It sounds so similar. You know Kyra, you are my first love and the first person I will ever confess my feelings to. You are like the only rose in my garden. The apple of my eyes. The sugar in my tea. I will never leave you till death do us path. That's how much I love you, Kyra." Greg said smiling but he was amazed as he heard something strange sounding in his ears. Kyra was already snoring as she was fast asleep. The amount of food she ate was enough for her to fall into a deep asleep.

"Kyra? Kyra? Oh she's asleep. See how cute her ears are." Greg said as he discovered that Kyra was already asleep. Also, he was playing with Kyra's ear.

"I'll ask you out properly tomorrow. I need to sleep now." Greg said as he yawned and some seconds later, he fell asleep.

Early in the morning, Greg and Kyra were still asleep in the food store room. But while they were still asleep, one of the palace maids who had came inside the room to get some fruits saw the two of them laying down on the ground.

At first, the girl didn't believe her eyes that she had to call for another maid to see what she had just seen. Two humans in the food store room.

The second maid came inside the room and when she saw Greg and Kyra laying down asleep on the ground, she shrieked with fear. The shriek was so loud that the guards that were closer to where they are, had to come over to see what was happening. Greg and Kyra upon hearing the loud shout from their dreams, woke up and saw that they had been seen by the people of the palace. They is no way of escape as they had been cornered by the guards of the palace.

"What do we do now Greg?" Kyra asked.

"We just have to use our combined powers to distract them so we could escape from here. I will use my super strength to defeat the guards while you'll use your slow motion ability to slow down the attacks. We can do this together, can't we?" Greg said.

"Yes we can." Kyra said with excitement, she had no fear of anyone since she now have a superpower and her superpower can be used as a source of defense and as an attacking force. The attacking force was her newly gained skill that she learnt yesterday while having a training at the rem that Mia's system took her to.

The attacking force skill goes like this; She gets to slow down the movement of an opponent and during the time the movement was being slowed, she gets a clone of herself that does things at a very fast rate. Her clone would fight against the opponent as fast as it could either with her fist or with a weapon, it all depends on who the opponent is.

"This is going to be an interesting fight." Kyra said as she prepared herself for the fight.

There are six guards at the door and Kyra had decided to take on two of them.

She slowed down the movements of the two guards and created a clone of herself which started fighting against each guards. The fight was easy though because Kyra was able to slow down every of the actions of the guards. It is 0.2 slower than being slow.

Kyra wished it could be more slower than that and when she slow down a movement, the opponent she slowed will be as if she wasn't able to move at all. That is the degree of the slow motion she wanted.

After dealing with the two guards at a very fast and easy way, Kyra turned to look at Greg who happened to be struggling as he fought against the four guards all at once.

"Is that how strong you are.. You seem weak to not being able to defeat those guards." Kyra said jokingly.

"I'm trying my best but I'm too hungry to deal with guys, will you at least lend me a hand so I could eat something." Greg said.

"No I'm good. You should take care of them by yourself." Kyra said smiling she was going to help out but instead of slowing down their movements, she ordered her clone to fight against the guards.

The clone fought with one of the guards and Greg was free to defeat the remaining three by himself.

"Oops, that was so close!" Greg announced.
