Chapter Two: The Queen's plan

The king ordered the Queen and the princess to follow him into the throne room for a proper discussion.
The king was seated while the duos were standing, their heads were bowed down as they faced the throne.
"Now, explain what happen Les." The king said but the Queen frowned as the King requested for Les to speak first.
"Your Highness, the leader of the Spade's family, the seventh Chief, Chief of the village resources held a meeting with the second queen, the Queen of Spade.
"As you all know, the leader of the Spade's family had no children, so he came to my mother and requested for her approval of me being his daughter for some kind of royalty occasion just to uphold his honour. To be sincere, I didn't know that I will be coming to the bride selection hall. And the seventh elder didn't inform me at all.
Your highness, I'm guilty of being among the brides without knowing, please punish me." Les said as she knelt on the floor.
The king looked towards the entrance of the door and noticed that the crown prince was peeping at them. The king turned to look at the Queen who was boiling with words, but was unable to say it.
She was permitted by the king to speak up, and she started speaking out in anger.
"This girl deserves to die, she molested me in front of every commoners and made fun of me.
She used cheat to enter the ceremony and,.. and,.. She also slapped me." The Queen tried every possible allegation she could throw at Les just for the king to hate her. She just hope her charm works.
'It always work on the King' The queen thought. She have a special tea that she prepares everyday for the king. And the tea contains a charm that allows the king to do the Queen's bidding. No matter what it is. So, the queen had confidence that her charms would surely work.
But unfortunately, her charms failed. The king stood up from the throne and went towards Les, Who was still kneeling on the floor.
He raised her up and gave her a small garment. Princess Les kept her head down and received the garment from the king.
"This is my Judgement!" The king said, and the royal scholar brought out his writing materials and started writing. "After listening to the valid explanation of Princess Les and finding no rule binding her to punishment, I've decided that she will be partaking in the final Bride Selection ceremony with the daughter of the second chief, Liana, in three days to this time."
The Queen was shocked that her charms were not working and the king favoured Les In a tremendous way.
"Everyone will be attending this ceremony, both commoners and elites." The king said as he walked towards the inner room, but before he left, he said something to the princess.
"Thanks for the Tea, Les. I felt relieved as soon as I drank it and my senses got shsrper." And he went inside.
The crown prince was so excited about the king's decision and he knew for sure that Les would be the bride to be selected. He strongly knew that.
The queen, upon hearing what the King just said, rushed to meet Les.
"What did the king meant by tea. Did you serve him tea?" she asked but she noticed that the princess Les was smiling, not to her but to someone behind her. The Queen turned to look at the person and saw that it was her son, the crown prince. He was also smiling, but his was more prettier than Les's own.
"Crown prince! When did you arrive? where are you going? why are you smiling?" The crown prince ignored his mother and went to hug Princess Les.
The Queen fell to the ground with surprise and the maids that are around tried to lift her up but she pushed them away. After the prince satisfied himself, he went towards his mother and bent low to speak into her ears.
"I told you mother, I hate you! Can't you just leave me alone and focus on your live as a Queen. Eat the best you can in the palace, drink what you can and dress in royal clothes. But just leave me alone to my life, huh?" The prince said as he stood up. "My choice of bride all depends on me and nothing in the world, not even you could change that."
The queen who was silent since stood up and her face was at a confrontational level with the crown Prince's face.
"I tried every of my possible best to take care of you and give you a more deserving position but you want to throw all of my effort away because of a lady? You really have gut." The queen said and exited the area.
The Crown prince heaved a sigh of relief and turned to look at princess Les who had a worried look on her face.
The crown prince went towards her, pulled her as they went outside the throne room.

The Queen, Queen of Hearts and the second Chief, the Chief of financial supports were having a discussion.
It was just a few minutes after the queen left the throne room. She was really angry and all sort of evil thoughts were running through her minds. She called for her talk mate, who was none other than the second Chief.
"You called for me your majesty." The second Chief said as he bowed to the queen.
"The King is planning to marry off the princess of hearts to the crown prince." She replied.
"I heard what happened between you two. And I've decided to talk with you before you called for me." The Chief said.
"We need to act fast before the ceremony. That princess must be out of the palace forever!" The Queen said.
The Chief bent over and spoke in whisper, "What about killing the Princess of Hearts?"
The Queen frowned at first but as she thought of this, a smirk appeared on her face before turning into a wide laugh.
"Come over, Kim, Come over. It's time we celebrate our new upcoming success." The queen said as she loosen her dress and took it off from her body.
