Chapter Seventy Seven: Wise Roselle

1126 Words
"Mia, can you please teach me some skills in melee combat range." Kyra said. She have a blonde hair and a small body frame. She is really beautiful and her skin seems to be free of spots and scratches, unlike Lydia. Lydia had some marks on her hands which looks to be beating marks from someone. Yeah, it is a beating mark from her parents. Before she left her parent's house, she was beaten one day by her father for not obeying his order in joining as a Nun in the Chapel beside their house. Ever since the day she was beaten, she had sworn not to have any association with her parents ever again. She would make sure she avoid meeting them while roaming around the city and also, despite her homelessness, she did not ever feel the urge of going back into her parent's house. Her parents had search around for her, but it was all to no avail. They really searched for her to the extent of pasting her pictures and descriptions out in the city, in case anyone happen to see her. Kyra on the other hand made sure she kept herself out of the open, as she don't want to have any ties with her parents anyone. Kyra hid herself well and for a whole month of roaming around, her parents were unable to locate or meet her anywhere in the city. That was until Kyra met Lydia roaming around in the street, homeless like her. They became friends and they both came up with the suggestion of hunting beasts so they could provide a good shelter for themselves and to have food also, instead of standing around the corner of restaurants, begging for food waste and scraps. They became skilled in hunting low level beasts within the tier range of a Basic tier beasts to an intermediate tier beast. Through their hunt together, they were able to gather enough money to rent a shelter and to also buy some foods and stuffs they would need in the shelter. But on a fateful day, after lydia and Kyra had completed their quest hunt for the day, they were both leaving for their shelter but Lydia accidentally came across her elder brother who was the one and only brother she ever have. She had no sister so only the two of them were being given birth to, by their parents. She avoided him that day but she knew that he would have informed her parents. She also knew that very soon, her parents will find where she's living but surprisingly, they never showed up. But ever since that day, she never came across her parents nor her elder brother. She even tried searching for them in their house but she saw that the house was occupied by someone else. She asked the new dwellers about the whereabouts of her parents but all they said was that they packed in two months ago as the house was sold to them by Lydia's parent, and her parents didn't inform them on where they were moving to next. In actuality, Lydia was heartbroken and she almost regretted ever leaving her parents but Kyra would often console her by saying that it was for the best. Maybe her parents really do not want to have anything to do with her anymore, and they did that by moving far away from her presence, thereby keeping Lydia out of their reach. Or it could be that her parents had some reasons either financially or personal and to solve the matter they had resulted in selling their house. The assumptions may be true but Lydia knew that her parents are somewhere safe and hidden from her but where? That is what is stopping her from taking her next move. When she joined as a follower of Mia, the main reason she asked for Mia to make her stronger was because she need to find her parents but before she could find them, she must at least be able to fight well. She had to prove to her parents that she is not a weak child as they always call her. But discovering that she had no superpowers like Kyra was giving her second thoughts in deciding whether she should stay as a follower of Mia who she looked up to as an helper, or she should proceed in the search of her unseen parents. "I could teach you. That will quickly help you to have more knowledge of your powers and it would help a lot when a real fight starts." Mia said but she noticed the sad look on James and Lydia's face. "You guys should also participate in this training maybe your powers might be activated if you train more." Mia advised. "Will that be okay against you guys?" James said and everyone's gaze was on him. "I mean you guys, you know you have superpowers, how will us with no superpowers be able to defeat you guys on a one on one fight?" James explained. "About that, we'll go easy on you." Roselle answered, "But not that easy, because we know that you guys might also have superpowers that are waiting to be unlocked and with the way things are, we must train you to be just as strong as we are. Remember that we are a group and there shouldn't be the weak ones in the group of the strong. We can do it!" Roselle said. "Come on guys it's our group code. We can do it?!" Roselle shouted, clenching her fists and raising it up into the air. "We can do it." They said meekly while Mia laughed within herself. Roselle was really a good side kick for Mia. She have the good posture of being a leader with her wise and sweet words and she could help Mia with a lot of things using her speed powers. Apart from using her powers, she could also help in transmitting information to the members of the group in a wise and sensible manner. Out of all other people following Mia, the only people Mia trusted so well is Roselle and Greg. She knew that they were personally picked by the Seer and they seem to have some connection with the Seer. In her mind, she knew that the duos weren't bad and they were a lot more trustable than the others. While Mia was busy thinking about Roselle, she remembered something. She want to test out her new given skill, the binding contract skill. ******** Author's thought: Let's hear what you feel about the story so far.
