I stepped out of the house, making sure to close the door softly as I left. I hadn’t said goodbye to my mother, or the girls and I knew that if I woke them now, all of my efforts at being quiet this morning, would have been in vain. It was still very early, something that wouldn’t do much in terms of improving my mothers’ mood, since the sun was only starting to rise now.
