Second after second continued to pass, my eyes not once wavering from his form as I waited patiently for him to wrap his head around what I had just told him. Even though I hadn’t been expecting a specific reaction from him, I found myself startled by the realization that he was going to give me a reaction—that was becoming more and more obvious with every minute that passed.
