Chapter 5
The bath was a shared one under a waterfall, with multi-coloured lights in the trees surrounding the pool providing illumination, along with that of the full moon overhead. The water was warm and Tane breathed in deeply, smiling at the heady scent of the forest that surrounded them.
The water suddenly lapped higher against his skin as Rakau moved closer and hot flames of pleasure spread through Tane at his lover’s touch.
“Are you ready to get out?” Rakau asked. “I prepared a place for us over there. Everything we’ll need is close to hand.”
“More than ready.” Tane swam after Rakau and followed him to a nest on the ground. As Tane sank onto soft coverings, the scent of the forest grew stronger from the foliage beneath him.
