Ever since their night in the park, Akiko was all that Jamie could think about. Trying to see her around their schedules and babysitters was wearing on both of them. It had been a month, and they were trying to settle into this new normal they’d created for themselves. Leif was constantly scrambling trying to find Jamie, and Yuri was faring no better. Jamie and Akiko were with each other every waking moment that they weren’t otherwise occupied, but Jamie was keeping his promise and going to class.
The two were standing near the spot where they’d met, close to their morning English class. Akiko was hysterically giggling as they watched Leif suddenly appear, smelling the air like a hound searching for a scent. He was trying to find Jamie or even Akiko, but he couldn’t.
