Erik was exhausted. He’d been in meetings for days with little to no sleep because he was the one running them. The meetings were on top of receiving intelligence reports from Japan at odd hours of the night. It was three in the morning, and he’d just finished briefing the leadership of the special unit William assigned to oversee the Japanese incursion the Lycans had just begun. Sinking into his bed, he let out a long sigh. Maybe he could finally get some sleep. The clicking and clacking of the Telex machine on his desk awoke him from his short-lived rest. Painfully opening his eyes, he pulled himself reluctantly from his bed and slumped down hard into his desk chair.
