Akiko had been on edge ever since Jamie found out his parents were coming to campus. Their whirlwind romance hadn’t left much room for the little things like remembering parent’s weekend coming up. Akiko had totally put it out of her mind because she knew her parents were staying in Japan. So, it held no significance to her. Now, things had obviously changed. It was all she could think about, and her nervous energy was making Jamie on edge himself. A forceful knock on his door took Jamie’s attention away from his phone as he looked up at Leif, whose face belayed no more confidence in this parental visit going well than Jamie already felt.
