Marina’s POV
I preferred to ignore Adonis’ call. I was sure he was calling me to blast me for disappearing on him since morning. As if he hadn’t done the same thing last night! It was true he had done a lot for me, but I was upset by his behavior. I was jealous, too!
“Won’t you take his call?” asked Camila, watching me intently.
“No. Don’t you have work?” She rolled her eyes and walked out of my office. Adonis called me repeatedly, and I knew he was mad at me, but right now, I didn’t care. If he could disappear without informing me, so could I.
I tried hard to concentrate on my work, only to be disturbed by Adonis’ call repeatedly. He might have called me ten times all afternoon.
