Marina’s POV
“Something is happening, Adonis!” I whispered as Adonis emerged from the en-suite. Immediately, he was there beside me.
“It’s going to be okay. Don’t be scared. You’re experiencing your first shift!” He soothed my hair, trying to calm me down, but I wasn’t afraid. I was excited to find my true identity finally.
“Mate!” Aztec called through the mind-link and Mia whimpered. I knew she was trying to control me and break through to the surface.
I gazed at my hands as they started changing into furry paws! A deep cry escaped my lips when my bones started cracking for Mia to take over. It was too painful yet I bore it bravely.
