"What did it feel like for all of you? Right before it happened, I mean." I asked, staring at the blazing fire before me.
"I remember a burning sensation in my spine," Noah said.
"Yeah, and then a voice telling me not to freak out," Owen chuckled.
"Not me, it was painful for hours." Zack said, matter-of-factly.
"That's because you fought it so hard," Owen laughed.
"Can you blame me? After what you two went through?"
"Don't scare her." Noah said, shooting his brother a look.
"Nothing could scare me out of it." I reassured them. "I've been waiting for this for so long."
"So have we," Zack chuckled.
"Huh?"
"He means we have been very excited for you," Noah quickly corrected. "This is a big day for you, a big milestone."
I smiled at him and let silence fall over
