"Are you sure you have to go so soon?" My mom asked as I finished tidying up my room. "You still have another week before school starts back up. We could plan a mini-vacation or-"
"I really want to get back." I said more firmly this time. "I... I need to make some things right with some of my...friends."
"The triplets?" My mom asked.
"How did you-"
"Your grandmother called today." She said with a tight smile. "She was going to wait to tell you, but the triplets, your mates, are very anxious to see you. They have stopped by their house a number of times now actually."
"They really are my mates?" I said, my face falling. "Why would they tell her and not me?" I asked softly, turning towards the pile of boxes ready to be donated.
