I was appalled when the front door swung open. I was about to take another bite of the chicken sandwich I bought alone since Ivory did not attend school. Where is he anyway? Is the whole wolf thing is not yet done? He has been missing class.
My parent furiously entered the house. They had their weapon for eradicating wolves. I watched them as I chewed the chicken sandwich silently in my mouth. Dad was quick enough to sit beside me.

Mom stood beside him with a worried face. Yet apart from the emotions under worrisome, they seemed distressed and exhausted. “How’s work?” I casually asked, finishing my food in one last bite.
