Logan woke up the next morning feeling content and at peace. He opened his eyes slowly and looked around the room and he was greeted by the sight of Tiara still asleep beside him. The sun was already high up in the sky, indicating that they had slept in much later than usual. He couldn't help but smile as he watched her peaceful expression, her chest rising and falling in a slow, steady rhythm. He couldn't resist the urge to reach out and brush a strand of hair away from her face, taking in the sight of her peaceful expression.
He couldn't help but smile as he remembered the events of last night. They'd made love more than once and no one came to disturb them and they didn't even leave the room to have dinner.
If he had ever had any doubt about Tiara's love for him, it was gone. He could sense it in the way she looked at him, the way she touched him, and the way she gave herself to him completely. The past few days had shown him what love really was and he was grateful. Actually, it wasn't just the past few days, it was all the days that Tiara had been in his life. Tiara loves him, she understands him and she doesn't expect anything from him.
Logan sat up in bed and stretched, relishing the feeling of the sun on his skin. He turned his attention back to Tiara, admiring her beauty as she slept. He wondered what the day had in store for them, but he was content to simply enjoy this moment for now.
As he sat there, lost in thought, Tiara began to stir beside him. She let out a soft moan and turned towards him, her eyes slowly opening. When she saw him looking at her, she smiled sleepily and reached out to touch his arm.
"Good morning," she said, her voice hoarse from the previous night's activities.
"Good morning, beautiful," he replied, turning to face her fully and pulling her onto his lap.
Tiara giggled as she straddled him, wrapping her arms around his neck and planting a kiss on his lips. "What are you doing up so early?" she asked, running her fingers through my hair.
"The sun is already up," he replied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Was I really that good? You seem to have forgotten everything you know."
"Don't be so full of yourself. I just didn't notice." She rolled her eyes.
Logan grinned, his hand sliding down to her hip. "You were quite vocal last night," he teased, his voice low and husky.
"Are we still there?" Tiara looked at him. "Will you ever stop?"
Logan just smiled at her and nodded his head.
Tiara's cheeks turned even redder as if the scenes from last night were busy playing in her head. "I couldn't help it, you were too good," she said, biting her lip.
Logan chuckled, his fingers trailing down to tickle her side. "Well, I guess we'll have to work on keeping you quiet," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Tiara gasped as his fingers tickled her, squirming under his touch. "Stop it, Logan," she protested, giggling.
Logan laughed, pulling her into a tight embrace. "I love you, Tiara," he said, his voice filled with tenderness and affection.
Tiara looked up at him. "I love you too, Logan," she whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.
"Are you two still alive?" Logan heard his mother call out to them from the outside of their door.
He watched as Tiara's cheeks turned red once again, this time at the sound of his mother's voice. "Don't tell me you're not going to come out of that room," Gail called out. "You have to eat at some point."
He couldn't help but smile as he looked at his embarrassed wife. He knew exactly why her cheeks were turning red, and the memory of their night together brought a flush to his own cheeks. "We'll be out in a minute, Mom," he called back, still gazing at Tiara with affection. "Just give us a moment to get ready."
Gail didn't say anything but he could hear her footsteps drifting away.
"You don't have to be embarrassed, mi amor, we are married." He couldn't hide the amusement in his voice and Tiara glared at him.
Logan just gave her a small smile as he rose from the bed, with her in his arms and went to the bathroom. They took a shower, got dressed and went to the kitchen.
As soon as they stepped into the kitchen, Gail's eyes darted between him and Tiara, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"So, did you two enjoy your private time last night?" Gail teased, causing Tiara's cheeks to turn even redder.
Logan chuckled at his mother's question, knowing that she was just trying to lighten the mood. "We did, Mom. And now we're starving, so can we please eat breakfast?"
Gail rolled her eyes playfully. "Of course, of course. Let's go eat. Clayton and Arianna are already waiting."
Logan wanted to ask about Malia and Mia but couldn't bring himself to. He was still worried about the possibility that they might have heard them last night.
"You don't have to worry about that. These walls are soundproof." Logan looked at his mother. "I know what you must be thinking. Your mother was the one who insisted because we're shifters, our hearing is enhanced.
"Do you think I would have lived in peace hearing what was happening in your room? Knowing it is one thing, hearing it is another."
"That's not what I wanted to ask, Mother."
"It's not?" Gail looked at him.
"I wanted to know why you never told me." He looked at Tiara and remembered all those moments when he asked her to keep her voice down and the way Tiara looked at him told him that she understood what he was thinking. "Mostly, how did you know I was thinking about them?"
"Come on, now. I'm your mother, there's nothing I don't know about you. Logan wanted to tell her that there was a lot she didn't know about him but thought better of it. His mother would probably beat him in front of his wife.
"Smart." Gail smiled at him and Logan realized that she knew what he was thinking. Damn.
"I guess you've already met Mia," Tiara said and Logan was thankful for her distraction.
"Such a sweet child. I swear to god, I'm gonna spoil her rotten." Logan had to laugh at that, he couldn't help himself.
"Ma, she's not a baby. She's 19."
"So what? One is never too old to be spoilt rotten."
"I agree with you, Mother," Tiara said as she smiled at Gail.
"That's true but you're going back to Eclipse." Logan tried to reason with her.
"That's also true and that's why I've made a deal with Mia. She's going to move to Eclipse once everything settles down." Logan didn't know how that was going to work.
"We spoke yesterday before she went to the palace with Malia. Malia will be taking her lessons as the next queen of Mercy and that is going to take too much of her time. Mia will be lonely when that happens and as her new mother, I can't have that.
"Besides, Malia has agreed. She herself will visit us from time to time when she gets a chance." Logan didn't know what to say so he just kept quiet. They finally made it to the dining room.
Logan and Tiara sat down at the dining table with Clayton and Arianna, both of whom greeted them with amused smiles. Logan couldn't help but feel a little awkward, knowing that they had probably heard everything that had gone on last night. He still couldn't trust his mother's words.
Clayton looked at them and gave them a wide smile. "Good morning, lovebirds," he said, teasingly.
Logan rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but grin. "Good morning, Dad," he teased.
Arianna looked up from her plate and smiled at them. "You two look like you had a good night," she commented, her eyes twinkling mischievously.
"So, Tiara, are you going to join us for some coffee this morning?" Clayton asked, winking at her.
Tiara groaned, burying her face in her hands. "You guys are relentless," she muttered.
He chuckled. "Hey, you set yourself up for that one, sister-in-law. We're just having some fun," he said, patting her on the back.
Arianna giggled. "Don't worry, Tiara. We're just teasing you because we love you," she said, smiling sweetly at her.
Axel joined in the teasing. "For me, I'm not supposed to be enjoying this but it's not every day I get to see the Queen of Eclipse Kingdom blush like a schoolgirl," he joked.
Tiara just shook her head, smiling despite herself.
Logan leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Don't worry, darlin'. We'll go easy on you from now on," he whispered.
Tiara rolled her eyes. "It's you that I'm worried about." Still, she smiled at him.
As they ate breakfast, they discussed their plans for the day. They had originally planned to spend the day packing up their things, but with the way they had slept in, they knew that it would be a rush to get everything done in time.
"I think we should just take it easy today," Tiara suggested, looking at him with a smile. "We can pack up everything tomorrow. Today, we can just relax and take our time."
"Tiara is right, we can't squeeze in everything today and besides, Arianna isn't feeling good," Clayton said as he took Arianna's hand in his.
"What's wrong?" Gail rushed to Arianna's side. "Why didn't you guys say anything?"
Arianna smiled at her. "It's nothing serious, Clay is just worried for no reason." She looked at all of them. "I still have two weeks until this baby gets the hell out of me but my body is already tired. It's nothing really."
Logan could see that she really wasn't feeling okay and she must have been hiding it well for him not to notice it earlier.
"I just need to rest a bit and I'll be fine."
"If you need to rest then you and Clayton should stay back until the baby is born before going to Eclipse," Logan suggested.
"No. I want Asher to be born in Eclipse. Clayton wasn't born there and I want to give his son at least that."
"And I told you that it's not important," Clayton said to her. He brushed the soft tears that were slowly making themselves known. "You know I hate it when you cry."
She smiled at him. "I'm sorry, this pregnancy is turning me into someone I don't even recognize."
"I hate seeing you like this. I hate being helpless. Knowing there is nothing I can do to help." Clayton said as he looked at his fiancee.
"You don't have to do anything. Like I said, I'm fine. I'll be fine." She looked at everyone. "Why are you all looking at me like that? I'm not dying or anything."
Logan couldn't but feel like she was really dying, that she was really in pain but she doesn't want them to know. They tried to bring their conversation to normal and continued with their breakfast.
When they were done, Logan and Tiara went back to their room so they could start packing. Logan noticed that something was bothering her and decided to ask.
"What's wrong?" He said as he pulled her to him, his hands on her waist.
"I don't know but I feel like something is not right with Arianna. She looks strong but I feel like she's faking it. Pregnancy shouldn't do that to a person and I'm worried."
"I saw that too but why are you worried? You think it's more than we think?"
"Yeah. Arianna's mother died immediately after giving birth to her. What if something like that happens to her too?"
