The wedding was going as planned because Logan refused to get married some other time, he just told everybody that his wound will not stop him from getting married.
He said that even if he was to faint at the wedding altar, they should get them married because there was no way he was cancelling his wedding.
Tiara understood what her sister-in-law meant, there was no going back and the wedding was going to take place no matter what.
Her maids made sure that she was beautiful and she had to praise them for what they did. Applying make-up was not an easy thing and she said that because she had tried numerous times and failed.
Her maids told her what she needed to do was to relax and enjoy what she's doing. She just laughed at them and decided not to tell them that she has tried that too but still failed.
Logan on the other hand was getting ready with his younger brother Clayton as the best man. He was happy that he was here because he couldn't think of a single person that would've been the best man if Clayton wasn't here.
"I had always wished you would get married before me and now it's happening. I can't believe this day has finally come. I'm going to have a sister-in-law, not from any brother but you."
"What happened to Kade?" He hasn't heard anyone talking about him and he didn't know what happened to him. Though he drove his sword in his chest he didn't want to kill him, he was just angry and he also felt betrayed.
"Stop thinking about Kaden and concentrate on your wedding, it will start very soon." Clayton avoided his gaze and Logan felt as if he was hiding something.
"Clay, I want to know what happened to him. He's my little brother, it doesn't matter what he did."
"You're not being serious right now. He tried to kill you even after what you did for him. Everyone saw that you didn't want to fight him and all he did was aim for your head. You even had a chance to finish him for good when he was lying down but all you did was forgive him. He decided to drive his sword in your chest because he hoped you would die. I don't blame you for driving your own sword in his chest too but I wish you could've driven it into his heart so that he could've died there and he would also know that he died because he tried to kill his own brother who loved him more than anything. He's fighting for his life as we speak and I pray he dies in that bed." Clayton didn't know if he will ever understand the blind love his elder brother has for Kaden because he knew Kaden didn't deserve it at all.
For as long as he could remember, Kaden has always hated their brother and Clayton didn't understand why because Logan has done nothing but love them since they were born. Logan would beat anybody who brought them harm.
"Don't talk like that. I know you're angry with him, I am too but he's still our brother and all we have to do is pray he survives. I survived and it's only fair that he does too."
"That fight was a fight to the death Logan and only one of you had to die, if you survived then he has to die, it's only fair that he does." He said mimicking Logan.
"Look, your anger is justified and I know you wanted a different outcome but this is how things turned out. Let's get to that wedding venue before we arrive after the bride. It would create history but I want to arrive before my bride, I want to see how beautiful she is when walking down the aisle."
"You're a very strange guy, we were just talking about Kaden and you quickly changed the topic."
"I hate that we're fighting so we should just stop."
"Fair enough. Let me go check what's happening outside and then I'll be back. Don't get cold feet and run away. Brides are the ones known from running from their own wedding, not the groom. Don't let it start with you and end up embarrassing me."
"Hell will freeze over before I back out of this marriage. I'm marrying Tiara today and nothing will change that, not even her." Clayton laughed as he left him in the room and went outside.
Logan was left alone in the room and decided to do some polishing in his vows, he couldn't believe that it was him who was getting married. He is twenty-five years but still, he never thought he would be getting married any time soon.
He kept thinking about Kaden even though he didn't want to, he just wanted to know how he was doing and if he will ever wake up but the only person who had the answers was making it clear that he wasn't going to say anything.
When Kaden said that he was going to kill him if he didn't kill him, Logan thought he was only bluffing and he thought he was making a good decision for not killing him but he was wrong.
The king and the queen were also surprised when Kaden decided to try and kill him. He heard his mother talking to someone and decided to know what they were talking about because he could hear that his mother was angry.
"All I'm asking from you is that you treat him like you treated Logan. They both had the same wound but Kaden's not recovering. It's been hours and the doctors don't know what to do with him." Logan could hear Liliana's voice from the living room.
He almost laughed at how things turned out, the queen has never stepped inside their house and seeing her here after she vowed that she will never stoop as low as to entering their house.
"I'm not a doctor Liliana and I know you know that so stop patronizing me. Are you not the person who vowed never to step her feet in my house?"
"I know I said that but I'm desperate. My son is fighting for his life in his room and the doctor can't do anything for him. I know that you're not a doctor but you know how to heal someone. You've always treated your son from any injuries and nothing seems to faze you. Please help me."
"You said it yourself that I've always treated my son's injuries since he was born but my abilities to heal someone are only limited to my son. I know how to treat him because he is my son, you should know how to treat your own son too. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a wedding to attend. My son is getting married." Logan saw his mother taking her purse preparing to leave but Liliana's voice stopped her.
"Why are you so selfish? Someone is dying and you have the ability to help him but you won't do it because he's not your son?"
Gail laughed out loud as if Liliana had said something really funny. "Let me tell you something you didn't know your majesty, I had always considered Kaden my son ever since he was born until yesterday when he decided to drive that sword of his in my son's chest. You do understand that he could've killed him? I don't even know why I even asked because you would've been happy about it. You hate him so much and you want him dead, just like you've always wanted to kill him ever since he was a child. I was even happy when you chased me out of the palace because it guaranteed me his safety. My son didn't fight yours and when he had the chance to kill him, he forgave him because he loves him but your son, blinded by the hate you taught him decided to disregard that love. I am not going to stand here and pretend like your son deserves saving because I hope he dies in that bed and that you follow him soon after. Now do me a favour and leave my house and never step your feet here again. This is my house, not your palace."
Gail left her standing there and she didn't move. Logan walked past her and headed to the wedding venue. He looked for Clayton and when he spotted him, he called him and they both made their way to the wedding altar and waited for Tiara to arrive.
He was nervous and he wondered why his legs hadn't given out because he could feel how weak his knees were. He didn't even expect many people to be there, not only Tiara's family and some of the people from their kingdom, people of Mercy were there too and it seemed like they were even happy for him.
A Thousand Years by Christina Perri started playing and everyone rose from their seats as the bride walked down the aisle and made her way to the wedding altar. Logan forgot how to breathe for a second, Tiara was looking beautiful in her rose-gold wedding dress. She had chosen the colour because she doesn't like colour and her mother has always told her that it compliments her skin and make it look even more radiant. Logan didn't know what to say, he has always thought Tiara looked beautiful but today, her beauty even put the beauty of a rising sun into shame. When she smiled, Logan was sure the world had stopped for a second and everyone vanished in his eyes until all that was left was the both of them, not even her father who was walking her down the aisle.
When Tiara's father gave put her hands in Logan's, he whispered in his ears and told him to take care of his daughter. Logan nodded at him and took Tiara hand, kissing the back of it.
They both stood hand in hand in front of the wedding officiant and the ceremony began.
"Dear beloved, we are gathered here to unite two beautiful souls, Princess Tiara Gabriella Santana of Santana and Prince Logan Jeremy Fairchild of Mercy and their families. I asked the couple if they wanted to say their I do's or have their own vows and I was told they prepared their own vows. So, your Majesties, over to you."
Tiara smiled before she started saying her vows, "I used to hate the idea of marriage because I knew I would have to give up what I've always known my entire life once I get married. It started off as a way of thanking my father for allowing me to have a word of my own ever since I was a child. When I heard that I was coming to Mercy to marry the king's eldest son who is a warrior, I wanted to come to see for myself, I didn't expect to fall in love with you the exact moment I laid my eyes on you. You are not perfect but you are real and I know with you, I'll always be happy and loved. I promise to stand by you in every step of the way, support you in every decision you make. You may not be a crowned prince but to me, you're a king, my king and in my heart, you'll always rule. Yesterday you told me that we are bound together for seven lifetimes but I hope we will be bound for as many lifetimes as we could. Te amo tanto Logan and I'll always do. Quiero pasar el resto de mi vida contigo." She looked at him with so much love in her eyes.
"I've always thought it's girls who cry at their weddings after hearing what her husband has to say but I think I know better now." People started to laugh. "You know guys, I've been asking myself what I did to deserve someone like Tiara. It doesn't matter now because even without an answer, it won't change that she's mine. I didn't plan on getting married any time soon and I'm happy I never did because then I wouldn't have had the chance of calling you mine. I tried pushing you away and yet you stood by me and didn't give up. I made you cry and I'm going to hate myself for that for the rest of my life. You sacrificed a lot to be with me and I promise to never let your sacrifices be in vain. I will love you for eternity because you deserve that and more. I will protect you for the rest of my life, I will never hurt you and if I do, just know that it won't be intentional. I promise to be a good husband to you and a good father to our kids for as long as I live. I love Princess Tiara Gabriella Fairchild and I want to spend the rest of my life with you too." When Logan lifted her veil, Tiara didn't wait for him to say or do anything as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
People started cheering and others laughed at her impatience.
