Death
Death is nothing but a start to a new beginning.
Bodies covered in blood, mutilated beyond recognition, was seen lying lifelessly on the cold ground.
The ground was cracked, with random pieces of earth jutting out of its foundation. Once magnificent buildings were destroyed, their remaining pieces of rubble and concrete mixed with glass strewn everywhere. No one could tell that this place where there was not a living soul... once stood a prosperous city.
There, in the middle of destruction and death, stood a single girl clothed in dark clothing and dressed in blood, looking no younger than 17. Her face was as fair as a snow. Her eyes were as green as emerald gems. Her lips were as red as blood. Her hair was as dark as midnight. She was truly the perfect reflection of Snow White. Better yet, a goddess.
No spiritual power could be sensed around where her. She stood lazily, holding on to a sword that was dripping with ruby red blood. Her dainty hands were painted in blood. What's more, no visible scratch could be seen on her body.
This petite girl was surrounded from all sides by menacing men that were giving off killing intent. A normal person would have been shivering in fear and might have fled, but not her.
Like a pack of wolves cornering their prey, the men closed in on the girl. "There is no possibility of you winning. Why don't you surrender yourself? Save us the trouble from wasting energy and yourself from a painful death. I'll give you a quick and painless death, I promise..." The man that broke the silence was around 6 feet tall, even a blind person could tell he was really powerful. The eminence amount of spiritual power surrounding him tells it all.
However, before he could take another step, he dropped dead on the spot. His body cut into small pieces, like a butchered pig. The blood that spurted out from his body splashed onto his companions behind him.
They were completely stunned.
"What? He spoke too much... I hate people who blabber about irrelevant things." The girl said while flashing and sweet smile, showing off her innocence. Anyone who saw her expression would have fallen for its purity and child-like innocence. But what they did not know was behind the innocence and smile, was a smirk that showcased the girl's brilliant white teeth. She was being mischievous, glad that she broke an annoying and useless toy.
After seeing their fallen companion, the men's killing intent was replaced by fear. The man she slaughtered within the blink of an eye was one of the strongest among them! THEY DIDN'T EVEN SEE HER MOVE WHEN THEY HAD NEVER BLINKED IN THE FIRST PLACE!
"Hmm? Aren't you guys itching to fight me as well?" The girl taunted them, drawing them in like fish attracted to bait.
All of them were agitated and anxious. They were conflicted between avenging their fallen comrade and running for their lives for they knew they had very little chance in surviving. After a little while, they chose the former. Shivering from intense fear, they attacked the girl... together.
They thought, together they would have a chance in winning. Right?
No one could have answered them, warned them that they were wrong.
Further away, there stood a boy. He was no younger than 12. His complexion was similar to that girl's, but his was more ethereal and less cold. His eyes were as blue as the once blue sky. His lips were luscious and red. Where the girl's hair was black, the boy's hair was the polar opposite. Locks of white hair matched the purely white cloak he wore. Not a spot of dirt could be seen on it.
Behind him stood a grown man older than the boy and girl, who wore a pair of white coloured jeans and a white coat. At his waist, hung a sword he obviously wielded.
Similar to the girl, no spiritual power could be sensed from the suspicious man and equally suspicious the boy.
What the young boy saw was something he expected. None of the current battle scene surprised him.
At once, all the men attacked the girl straight on. From his bird's eye view, he could see that the men were going to hit her with their full strength and power.
"How naive of them," he thought.
A man who came closest to the girl first raised his sword in the middle of a chant, "Lightning stri-" Of course, he never completed the chant but halted. His companions that were following up behind him couldn't comprehend with his actions and moved onward just as the previous man's body exploded into dozens of pieces.
Droplets of blood danced in the air just to splatter everywhere. The men's clothes were drenched in fresh blood. As gruesome as it was, they could only think to look at the girl with wide eyes, thinking, "JUST WHO THE HELL IS SHE?" Indeed who was the girl that killed off the men like it was nothing without muttering a single spell.
The remaining men were left frightened but overwhelmed with great feelings of grief and anger for their fallen brothers in arms.
"Spirt dance!" A man shouted his spell, clear and loud, confident it would work.
With speed as fast as lightning, he ran straight for the girl guilty for his friends' deaths.
Blades of wind were formed magically straight from the surroundings. He smirked, unable to contain his excitement from finally killing the girl. The girl yawned from boredom and simply lifted her left hand to counter his spell. "How arrogant!" he sneered.
However, with one flick of her hand, the spell was utterly and completely broken into millions of tiny magic particles. The man paled after realising his magic had abandoned him. Moreover, he was still charging towards her at top speed and with no way to stop himself he ran into the sword the girl held out out of nowhere. His body was cut symmetrically into two halves.
Her movements were swift and precise. The man could never have been able to avoid the sword or react carefully. His eyes were left wide open in horror as the two halves of his body fell to the ground.
His final thought, "Ah. So the one filled with arrogance was not her but me. She was merely confident in ending me."
The fate of the other nine men were similar yet very different. The girl was brutal and merciless. Some had their head chopped off, one's brain had been sliced through, one's throat was torn apart by her sword while the rest were cut into pieces. To her, the blood flowing out like water was calming and filled her with sickening joy.
The last man stood trembling like a leaf in a hurricane. It was surprising he could even stand in the first place. He was stunned and completely feared the girl that brutally killed his comrades. He doubted she even considered them as humans. They could have been grass she was just cutting down to get out of her way.
"Well. Well. Well. You are all that's left!" The girl approached the man like a panther in the shadows of the night. While smiling her terrifying devil's smile, she added, "Great, I have yet to use my favourite method..."
The man panicked. No, he was already panicking. Right now, he was praying for a quick death from anything just to avoid the little devil's hands. He even tried to use his powers but soon came to a realisation that he couldn't use them because the little girl had released some of her own to pressurise his magic into submission.
Then it hit him, this girl was allowing them to use their powers... she had been playing with them from the start. They could have been easily killed in a snap of the fingers but the girl had held back!
A large, moist patch formed on the man's pants, at the area where his crotch was. The girl wrinkled her nose cutely and blinked her eyes innocently. Raising her sword, she pierced his heart with a great force and took out her sword from his chest. A large hole was left where she had pierced him. And last of all, his heart remained on the girl's sword.
"How amusing." She flicked her sword and the heart fell onto the dirty ground, dust from it stuck onto the blood, covering the heart.
"Well done." The girl looked up, towards where the boy and man were situated. No spiritual power was sensed by her from the two newcomers. That meant they were really strong.
They had total control.
The boy prowled towards her as if she was his prey while the man stayed where he was.
Surprisingly, the boy unsheathed his sword. The message was clear as day, he meant to fight her or possibly even kill her though he appeared harmless. But the girl knew better. This fight was going to be annoying if not disastrous.
"God damn it!" She sighed, she really wanted a nap, preferably a very long one. She was still figuring out how to hibernate.
"That's what people call me." The boy innocently smiled while getting in the perfect fighting stance.
"Huh?" The girl had no clue to what he was hinting.
"God, that's what mortals named me..." The girl's astonishment was hidden from view, instead, a smile slowly crept onto her face.
"Let's fight shall we?" The boy didn't bother hiding his sinister smile.

The sword that was stained with blood and tainted by the life of others, laid uselessly on the hard ground, on the dirt... and in a pool of fresh blood.
"Come on Gab," the boy ordered. He brushed his face gently, slowly tracing the single scratch the girl had managed to give him.
He had to admit, that girl was indeed insanely powerful for a mortal. Even Gab and the other Gods failed to graze him. Give it a few more years and she would be as powerful as him, or possibly, even stronger.
Fortunately, He had ended her before she could grow and challenge His position.
"Let's go home." This human skin couldn't hold together any longer.
The body suddenly fell and the area filled with c*****e, was surrounded by the smell of death.
