Chapter 2: A Very Long School Day [Part 2]

651 Words
Harvey’s POV So, long story short, I got kissed today by Addisyn King, the hottest girl in school. My brother, Henry was kissed by Madisyn Smith, her best friend. When she kissed me her face turned red, as did mine, and she said, “Your accent is attracting, ya know that?” *** Time for P.E., which is when I have lunch. Adi also has this class with me. The uniform for P.E. is our Grey Hawks grey tee shirt, and shorts. The boys wear basketball shorts, and the girls wear short shorts. Today (even though it is the first day of school) we had to go over basketball and its history. After that, we practiced passing the ball to one another. Coach Hawthorne paired me with Adi. It was really awkward because of the kiss earlier today. When coach blowed his whistle, we started passing the ball. Out of nowhere, a basketball came hurdling towards Adi when I wasn’t looking. The ball hit her in the head and she fell to the ground and was unconscious. I carried her to the nurse’s office. Can I just go ahead and say, she is as light as a feather. I have no idea how she knew, but Madisyn opened the door and ran to Adi. ”What happened to her?” She asked me. “She got hit in the head with a flying ball while I was tying my shoelaces.” I replied. “I feel bad since I wasn’t paying attention. Also, she got hit so hard it might give her a black eye.” “You should’ve seen her at one of our sleepovers. She was singing on the bed, moving her head and flipping her hair and then she hit her head on my bunkbed. We both started bursting out laughing until I realized she was crying.” Madi told me. “What did you do then?” I asked. “She was crying and laughing so I laughed even harder, then I started crying and laughing.” *** When she woke up, she was very confused so she said, “Where am I?” “You’re in the nurses office.” Madisyn said. Before Adisyn could ask why, Madi said, “You were hit in the head by a ball in gym. Harvey carried you over here.” *** Adisyn’s POV “You were hit in the head by a ball in gym. Harvey carried you over here.” Madi told me. I looked at him, smiled and mouthed, “Thank you.” The nurse gave me some ice right before the lunch bell rang. As I walked into the cafeteria with Madi and Harvey on each side people started staring at me again. “Why are people staring at me?” I asked. Madi handed me her pocket mirror. Wait was that a black eye? “Ahhhhh!!!” People really started staring at me then. I ran out of the cafeteria and into the locker room. I changed back into my old clothes. As I was walking out of the locker room, Eric, the football team captain collided into me. All the other football players passed us. One accidentally bumped into me, then I dropped my phone on the ground and it shattered. “I’m sorry about your phone. I’ll buy you a new one.” He said. “Are you sure?” I asked generously. “I’m sure. Besides, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” He replied. “Neither was I. My phone was the real reason we bumped into each other.” I protested. “I’m still gonna do it. Bye!” “Bye!” I yelled back. “Well that was awkward.” I whispered to myself.
