Chapter 9May 29, 2002, the morning before the senior pool party Kaden biked the mile from his parents’ home to David’s. He had a tough time falling asleep the night before. He’d ignored all the signs the last few weeks that their friendship had gotten more complicated. He knew David wanted to be more than friends with benefits, and he thought maybe it wasn’t too late for both of them to stay in Orlando.
