Officer Parks looked at Doris. There were tears in his eyes. "I am sorry," he said, "but I have to do my job. You understand, right?"
"Please," Doris begged. "This isn't right. I didn't do anything!"
"I'll make it quick," Parks promised as he stood up and walked around the table. He pulled her out of her up by her hair with his left hand. Then he punched her in the gut with his right hand, and when she grasped her stomach, he reached into her pocket and swiped her phone.
Chief Oskin chuckled and said, "Like taking candy from a baby." He turned to Officer Parks. "Get her out of my sight. She makes me want to puke."
