Valeria POV
I stormed out of the room and marched down the stairs. Willow snarled, her anger matching mine until we both saw red.
Evelyn ran after me and struggled to match my fast pace.
“What are you going to do? She asked. “I don’t want to cause any trouble.”
“She hurt you.” I snarled. “She told lies about me. I have to make her stop before she goes too far. You haven’t shifted yet. A fall down the stairs like that could have killed you.”
“But I’m fine.” She protested.
I knew that she was lying, I wasn’t walking that fast, but she struggled to catch up with me, winching a little sometimes because of the wounds on her leg.
So I ignored her and I stormed into the kitchen.
“Where is she?” I growled.
Claire looked up and stared at me.
“What’s wrong, Luna?” She asked.
“Lizette.” I replied, and tried to remind myself that Claire hadn’t done anything and I shouldn’t snap at her. “Where is she?”
Just then, Lizette walked in through the door.
I turned around and glared at her, and her eyes widened before darting to Evelyn.
“What’s going on?” She asked innocently.
But I didn’t buy it.
I walked up to her and I could hear her heart race.
“I think you already know.” I growled, before grabbing her throat and lifting her off the ground.
Using my powers, I made the back door blow open on its own. Then I used a combined force of my wolf and my powers to throw Lizette out through the door. The other Omegas in the kitchen gasped and I saw Evelyn cover her mouth with both of her hands. Lizette landed with a groan on the grovel a few yards outside the door and she started coughing while touching her neck. I calmly followed her as she tried to crawl away from me while tears were streaming down her face.
“I’ve been really patient with you, Lizette.” I said coldly. “I felt bad for you after Tyson dumped you, but you just don’t seem to understand.”
I took a deep breath to reign my powers in, but wasn’t completely successful and flames erupted from my palms, the fire rising about ten inches from my hands before disappearing.
Lizette whimpered hoarsely and held out her hand in an attempt to stop me.
“Get this in your head.” I growled. “Tyson will never choose you. You will not be his Luna, and you will never bear his child.”
“I’m sorry, Luna.” Lizette cried. “Please don’t kill me.”
I almost jumped when I felt Tyson’s arms wrap around me from behind and he pulled me to his chest. Dax reached out to Willow through our bond and I felt her melt into him, calming us both down effectively.
“What’s going on?” He asked.
I didn’t reply. Instead I glared at Lizette.
“How did you even know that I was infertile?” I asked.
Lizette was trembling from head to toe.
“I overheard the former queen and princess Violet talking about it before she left for her internship in Cambridge.” She replied shakily.
I frowned.
“How did they know? I only told…”
I stiffened and pried Tyson’s arms off of me so that I could turn to look at him. He was the only person who knew what happened to me, and I couldn’t believe that he would share that with someone else when he knew that I had never told anyone before.
“You.” I whispered.
Tyson must have seen the hurt in my eyes, because he tried to caress my cheek and I recoiled away from him.
“Why did you tell them?” I asked. “You knew that I never told anyone.”
“I told them that you couldn’t have kids.” He replied. “That was it. I never told them how it happened. I’m sorry, my love.”
I sighed and rubbed my forehead tiredly.
“It’s fine.” I said. “It was bound to come out sooner or later.”
The anger I felt was replaced with a numb feeling and I suddenly felt completely exhausted. Lizette seemed to take advantage of my momentary distraction to scramble to her feet and run out of there before I could kill her.
Not that I was planning on killing her, but I guess that it was hard for her to know that.
I saw the Omegas from the kitchen, Tyson, Evelyn and Kayden all stared at me with either concerned or fearful gazes and I suddenly felt suffocated.
“I need some air.” I said and started walking out of there.
Tyson made an attempt to walk after me, but I stopped him.
“No.” I said, desperately trying to stop myself from crying. “I just need to be alone right now.”
Then I turned on my heel and walked away from the horrible scene that I had caused.

Tyson POV
I watched Valeria’s retreating back, trying to make sense of the emotions I felt through the bond. She was really angry, scared and ashamed, and since I didn’t know why she attacked Lizette, I didn’t know how to make her feel better.
“What happened?” I asked Evelyn.
Evelyn paled.
“Lizette pushed me down the stairs.” She whispered. “She said that Valeria chose me as her assistant because she wanted me to carry her child and I wasn’t worthy of that honor.”
I stared at her in disbelief and Dax snarled in my head so loudly that I struggled not to growl out loud.
“No wonder she was so angry.” I replied. “Maybe you should go talk to her.”
Evelyn stared at me.
“But she said that she wanted to be alone.” She said.
Her eyes widened when she realized that she just questioned the king himself and she cleared her throat.
“I-I’m sorry, I..” She stammered.
I held up my hand, making her stop talking.
“I know what she said.” I replied. “But what I’m feeling through our bond makes me think that she shouldn’t be alone right now. You are her family now, and I think she’s still disappointed in me for telling people about her fertility issues. I’ll talk to her later, when she’s cooled off a little.”
Evelyn nodded and sprinted after Valeria, and Kayden walked up to me.
“That was intense.” He said. “Does her fertility issues have something to do with what she talked about with Myers before he died?”
I guess he didn’t want to say out loud that the evil bastard had molested her, gotten her pregnant and experimented on the child during the pregnancy until the fetus died and Valeria was forced to deliver a stillborn baby, and I appreciated that he was discreet when others were listening.
“Yeah.” I sighed. “Which is why this was such a hard blow for her. Relieve Lizette of her duties. She can't keep working close to Valeria after the stunt she just pulled.”
I sighed and ran my hand through my hair.
“I just hope that she’s okay.” I whispered and glanced at the forest where Valeria had disappeared.
