Igbo Proverb: If a snake fails to show its venom, little kids will use it in tying firewood. Origin: A snake is a dangerous reptile. Snake poison can kill an adult in minutes. In Africa, snake bites contribute to deaths. In Igbo land where this proverb originated from, snakes are not toyed with. In some African traditions, snakes are referred, and in others, it’s a delicacy or a deity. The proverb emphasizes on the lethal poison, which is a feature snakes are known for. I can translate this proverb to if one doesn’t show his abilities, he may be taken for granted. Meaning: There are times when one defends one’s capability. What do you think about this proverb? Do you know another African proverb? You can drop it here, and I will discuss it with you. What I cherise most in my life are my safety custody, where I keep my head and family, my quality inward fruits foods, beverage taken inward of my belly are most very important. Secondly the security of myself and my family are very important and thirdly my shelter are very paramount. The snake has gotten a bad rap historically. But let's be honest: snakes are cool. And now Unsplash photographers have given them their due justice, with a huge collection of pristinely beautiful snake images. At Unsplash we're bringing snakes back. Snakes use these venoms for two main purposes. The first is foraging, where venom helps the snake to overpower its prey before eating it. The second is self-defence against potential predators – this is how millions of people get bitten, and around 100,000 killed, every year.24 Mar 2020. Snakes will not bite humans unless they feel threatened, so leaving them alone is the best strategy for preventing a bite. Poison of snake is known as venom it is secreted by glands that produce saliva and stored in fangs. It helps the snake in hunting and protecting itself. So, the correct answer is 'Venom' Most snakes are venomous, but some are also poisonous: Venomous Snakes that inject toxins into their prey using fangs or a sting are venomous. Poisonous Snakes that secrete toxins that can be absorbed through the skin, swallowed, or inhaled are poisonous. Some snakes are both venomous and poisonous, such as the keel back snake in Asia. These snakes store toxins from the toads they eat in glands in their neck. Garter snakes in Oregon can also store toxins from the newts they eat in their livers. While most snakes don't carry enough venom to harm humans after a bite, venomous snakes to look out for in the U.S. include the rattlesnake, copperhead, cottonmouth, and coral snake. Their is no difference between the snake and scorpion, know matter how scorpion is your friends it will still sting you. When people talk about dangerous snakes like black mambas and cobras, at least one person in the conversation will ask whether the snake is poisonous. Bolstered by medical references and haphazard mentions on television and elsewhere in the mass media, the phrase “poisonous snake” has been drilled into our collective consciousness. But this phrase is not technically correct—strictly speaking, most dangerous snakes are venomous. According to biologists, the term venomous is applied to organisms that bite (or sting) to inject their toxins, whereas the term poisonous applies to organisms that unload toxins when you eat them. This means that very few snakes are truly poisonous. The vast majority of snake toxins are transferred by bite. One exception is the garter snake (Thamnophis), which is small and harmless in terms of its bite but is toxic to eat because its body absorbs and stores the toxins of its prey (newts and salamanders). Poisonous animals include most amphibians (that is, frogs, toads, salamanders, etc.), which carry around some amount of toxins on their skin and within their other tissues, such as the highly toxic poison secreted by various poison dart frogs. These chemicals are strong enough that they can be deadly to humans, so you would be wise to keep these creatures off your menu. Original question: In your formulation of the most "deadly" snake, your criteria includes aggressiveness. I see differing levels of defensive behavior in my captive pit vipers, rescues and field observations. How much does individual behavior affect your ranking? A behavior of snake can compare with human being bad behavior,I wouldn’t use behavior at all as a metric for defining the most “deadly” snake. Instead, I would use venom toxicity as the determining factor. Criteria such as aggressiveness and/or defensive behavior would more usefully applied to the definition of the most “dangerous” snake. For example, in the U.S. the deadliest snake is the coral snake in terms of its venom’s potency, but the likelihood of getting bitten by one is small, whereas the likelihood of getting bitten by a western diamondback, which has less potent venom, is much higher, making the diamondback the more dangerous of the two. THEIR IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SNAKE BEES AND SCORPION Their is no difference between the snake and scorpion, know matter how scorpion is your friends it will still sting you. There are several different species of scorpions. And the smaller the species of scorpion the bigger the toxin levels. So if a very big scorpion stung an adult. very unlikely to kill. But a small specialize of scorpion stung an adult yes it is possible. Also the ones with more developed pincers may also be non-venomous as the claws are their main weapon. Where the ones with very skinny or small pincers have a more venomous tail sting. A JEALOUS MAN IS A MANIPULATOR A jealous man is a manipulator who always consistently asks you where you are, who you're with, and what you're doing. A SHORT STORY OF A TORTOISE AND a🦂 SCORPION...READ. In the land of Ormok, where the sun kissed the golden sands of the desert and the wind whispered secrets of the ancient past, there lived a Tortoise named Tiotoise and a Scorpion. The two were unlikely friends, for while one was slow and steady, the other was quick and agile. Despite their differences, they had formed a bond that transcended their physical limitations. Tiotoise was a wise and gentle soul, his shell adorned with intricate patterns that told the stories of generations past. He had lived for centuries, witnessing the rise and fall of empires, the birth of new lands, and the passing of time itself. The Scorpion, on the other hand, was a creature of impulse and instinct. Its stinger was its weapon, and it used it without hesitation or remorse. Despite their differences, Tiotoise and the Scorpion were inseparable. They would spend hours wandering the desert, exploring hidden caves and forgotten ruins. The Scorpion would always play pranks on Tiotoise, stinging him when they least expected it. Tiotoise would grumble and complain, but deep down, he knew that it was just the Scorpion's way of showing affection. One day, a great lion in the village of Ormok announced that he would be holding a grand wedding ceremony. Tiotoise and the Scorpion were thrilled at the news and immediately set out to make preparations. However, on the day of the wedding, a sudden storm broke out, flooding the village and turning the desert into a treacherous sea of mud. Tiotoise, being a creature of the land and water, was able to navigate the flooded terrain with ease. The Scorpion, however, struggled to keep up, its delicate legs sinking into the muck with every step. Desperate to attend the wedding, the Scorpion pleaded with Tiotoise to carry it on his back. At first, Tiotoise hesitated. He knew that the Scorpion had a tendency to sting him when they played together, and he feared that carrying it on his back would only invite trouble. But the Scorpion pleaded and promised not to sting him, swearing on the bond of their friendship. Reluctantly, Tiotoise agreed and allowed the Scorpion to climb onto his back. With the Scorpion holding on tightly, Tiotoise waded through the floodwaters, his strong legs propelling them forward. As they reached the middle of the river, however, the Scorpion suddenly plunged its stinger into Tiotoise's back. Why did you sting me? Tiotoise cried out in pain, feeling the venom course through his veins. The Scorpion looked up at him with remorse in its eyes. It is in my nature to sting, my friend, it said sadly. No matter how much I try to resist, I cannot fight my instincts. Tiotoise felt a pang of sadness wash over him. He had trusted the Scorpion, believing that their friendship was strong enough to overcome any obstacle. But now, as he felt the effects of the Scorpion's venom take hold, he realized that some bonds were too fragile to withstand the test of time. As Tiotoise struggled to stay afloat in the turbulent waters, he came to a realization. The Scorpion had taught him a valuable lesson, one that would stay with him for eternity. No matter how close you are to someone, no matter how deep your friendship runs, there are some things that can never be changed. And so, as the floodwaters carried them further and further away from the village of Ormok, Tiotoise closed his eyes and let go of the pain and betrayal. In that moment, he understood that sometimes, the greatest lessons in life come from the most unexpected sources. And so, the tale of the Tortoise and the Scorpion became a cautionary fable, a reminder that even the closest of friends can harbor hidden dangers. As the sun set over the desert, casting a golden glow over the land of Ormok, Tiotoise drifted away into the peaceful embrace of the river, his spirit free at last from the burdens of the past. Once upon a time, in a small town in Nigeria, there lived two young men named Tolu and Chike. They both resided in the same yard, a quaint little compound filled with colorful flowers and bustling with life. Tolu was a hardworking and optimistic individual, always striving to better himself and reach his goals. Chike, on the other hand, was envious and bitter, constantly comparing himself to others and feeling resentful towards those who appeared to have more than him. As the years went by, Tolu's hard work and determination paid off. He found success in his career and was able to afford luxuries that he once only dreamt of. One day, Tolu decided to treat himself to a brand new car. He parked it proudly in the yard, showing it off to his neighbors with a smile on his face. However, Chike's reaction was not what Tolu had expected. Chike's eyes darkened with jealousy as he saw Tolu's new car. He couldn't believe that Tolu had managed to achieve something so impressive, while he was still stuck in the same place, feeling stagnant and unfulfilled. From that day on, Chike became the enemy of the yard, constantly brooding over Tolu's success and resenting him for it. No matter what Tolu did, whether it was purchasing a new gadget or achieving a milestone at work, Chike was always there to rain on his parade. He would make snide remarks and spread rumors about Tolu, trying to tarnish his reputation and make himself feel better in the process. Tolu tried to ignore Chike's antics, focusing on his own journey and growth, but it was difficult not to be affected by his neighbor's negativity. One evening, as Tolu sat in his living room reflecting on his day, he heard a loud crash coming from outside. Rushing to the window, he saw Chike standing next to his car, a malicious grin on his face. Tolu's heart sank as he realized that Chike had vandalized his beloved vehicle, scratching the paint and slashing the tires out of pure spite. Anger and betrayal surged through Tolu as he confronted Chike, demanding an explanation for his actions. Chike simply shrugged and laughed, relishing in the chaos he had caused. It was clear to Tolu now that Chike's envy had turned into something much darker – a deep-seated hatred that consumed him and drove him to destroy everything good in his path. As the days passed, tension grew between Tolu and Chike, their feud escalating to a dangerous level. The once peaceful yard was now filled with animosity and fear, with the other residents caught in the middle of their conflict. It seemed as though there was no end in sight, no resolution to be found between these two enemies. But deep down, Tolu knew that he could not let Chike's bitterness control his life. He made a decision to rise above the chaos and focus on what truly mattered – his own happiness and well-being. With a determined spirit, Tolu set out to repair his car and mend the damage that had been done, refusing to let Chike's actions define him. In a surprising turn of events, Chike approached Tolu one day, a hint of remorse in his eyes. He confessed to his envy and admitted that he had let it consume him, causing him to lash out in destructive ways. Tolu listened with empathy, understanding the pain that Chike had been harboring all this time. As they stood in the yard, facing each other as equals for the first time, Tolu extended a hand of forgiveness towards Chike. In that moment, the walls of resentment crumbled, and a newfound sense of peace descended upon the yard. Tolu and Chike may have started out as enemies, but they had come to realize that they were more alike than they had ever imagined – two souls striving for happiness in a world filled with challenges and obstacles. From that day on, Tolu and Chike worked together to rebuild the trust and harmony in the yard, setting aside their differences and embracing a new chapter of understanding and friendship. The enemy of the yard had been vanquished, replaced by a bond that would withstand the test of time. And as the flowers bloomed and the sun set on their peaceful corner of the world, Tolu and Chike knew that they had found a kind of happiness that could only come from letting go of the past and embracing the future with open hearts. ✓STREETS ENEMY In the bustling streets of Lagos, where countless dreams are born and shattered, one man stood out amongst the rest. His name was Daniel, a young entrepreneur who had recently purchased a piece of land in the heart of Alimosho local area. Their dark minds and bad bellies festered with envy, leading them to gang up against Daniel, determined to sabotage his efforts and bring him down. But Daniel was not one to back down easily. With a fierce determination and unwavering resolve, he continued to work tirelessly on his new house, ignoring the whispers and sneers of his enemies. And as the attacks grew more frequent and more intense, Daniel began to fear for his life and his sanity. But just when all hope seemed lost, a ray of light shone through the darkness.
