Ezra, however, sneered, "I'll let you go if you beg me now, and you can be allowed to attend the dinner party at Emma's house on Saturday if you beg."
Arabella froze for a moment and turned her head to look at Ezra, then she realized that Ezra was a prominent figure in the city, how could he not know about the grand dinner party at Emma's house? I think Emma's parents must have sent Ezra an invitation, but Emma was kept in the dark.
Arabella sighed in her heart, no matter where she hides, I'm afraid that as long as she doesn't leave this world, she will never be able to escape Ezra's sight in this life, and will always be controlled by him.
