Chapter Five A long night of rain gave way to the white morning moon against a crystal blue sunny sky. The grounds of the estate looked sparkling. Brett looked out the bedroom window to a lawn that seemed to go on forever, at least to the cliffs that dropped down to the ocean. Between those cliffs and the house there was a manicured garden, flanked by rows of perfectly shaped trees. Rosebushes lined a long stone walk that led to a bright blue swimming pool, partially blocked from sight by an enormous hedge.
