Chapter Nine When Mia re-entered the main hall, having calmed down and touched up her makeup after her little coughing fit, it sounded as though there was some fast and furious bidding taking place. She glanced at the huge projector screen on the stage, which told her that the current lot was an incredibly rare bottle of whiskey. Bidding was currently at £10,000 and rising fast. She thought it likely that if her father were here right now, he’d be one of the bidders. He’d been quite the whiskey connoisseur. Which gave her an idea.
