The God of Gravity part 2: Olympus

Olympian Steel

I walked down the chiseled stone staircase after I opened the door. I can sense him from afar and I smell something burning, like molten metal. Then gradually, I began to hear loud banging and clanging as well as grunts. I can also feel that the temperature hotter. The staircase curved to the left, and I saw a red light and the temperature became hotter than before! I followed the path and it led me to a large chamber.

I am standing at the spot where the path ends and I entered this chamber. Different creatures are working and they carried oars and coals on wheelbarrows. All of them are creatures with green skin like the ones who chased me but some are muscly and huge. They didn't mind me as I just stood there and watched how the molten metals flowed on the artificial ditches and to somewhere I don't know. Above, there are steaming tubes and pipes. I avoided being burned by a molten metal from above. Do they also have flowing molten metal above? Wow... But that's dangerous because it almost melted my head.

I hear the clanging and rumbling sound of stones being broken to pieces. And something loud and noisy that as if a large hammer is hitting a big piece of metal. I went in that direction while considerately getting out of the way of these hardworking creatures. The noise is coming from the left so I went there. This chamber is so large that you could fit an entire village. I can see that they have cafeterias carved from the rock walls. I saw the creatures having breakfast and beverages as humans do. They sneered at me so I walked faster.

Then I noticed that there are lines of creatures with their wheelbarrows of coal and putting it into the furnace at the right and the molten metal flowed from it and into the ditches. Why don't the metal harden in those ditches? Nah, forget it. I am here to get water for Darius. I walked deeper into the chamber and I saw three ogres, each of them has only one eye!

With their huge hammers, they alternately hit the anvil with Lord Blaze near it as he holds the glowing hot piece of metal on it. I felt the ground shaking each time their hammers hit on it and sparks flew in every direction. I can smell the hot metal. After a second, they stopped and Lord Blaze used tongs and carried the piece of metal that is shaped like a knife to the furnace near him. He stepped back from where the opening of the furnace and signaled the ogres. They started to spin a wheel that protruded from the ground by pushing against the handles. Then there was a wheezing sound then the furnace began to scream and blow fire like a dragon. Lord Blaze just stood before the fire sipping his cigarette then threw it away to drink his water in a large bottle.

Water!

He put it back on his waist as the ogres stopped spinning the wheel. The stream of fire stopped and he grabbed the hot knife from the furnace with tongs. It is blazing hot, like his name. Then they started to hammer it down again. This is my chance to get the bottle. I ran to him and grabbed the bottle from his waist.

"Hey!!!" he yelled as I ran faster back to Darius.

Blaze couldn't stop what he is doing so he says, "How did he- Uh, nevor mind, All of ya! Stop that boy! He stole me precious wohter!!!"

The creatures glared at me before attacking. They came and surrounded me with their sheer number. "Boom!" I yelled when I used my repelling power. They were blown away and I jumped over the pipeline to pass over the other creatures. Then dozens of them were in my way and standing on the same pipe as I. "Fist of three:" They fell off the pipe. "Phantom Punch!" and I punched in the air then continued running.

At the left and right parallel pipelines, they ran and jumped over towards me with their hammers ready to pound me down. I just stopped and "Fist of three: Lion's Paw!" I pushed the creature that is following behind me with my palm at the same time the creatures with hammers missed and hit the pipeline. The pipe was punctured and the steam leaked. I transferred to another pipe to the right to avoid getting burned by the hot blowing steam. There are big creatures in front and behind me with their pickaxes to attack me. I dodged them all and kicked them off the pipeline. I continued to run and came across the ditch of molten metal. I figured out that I have reached where I came from so I jumped off of the pipeline and landed on the ground. I continued my way to the staircase and they kept pursuing me. They threw knives, spears, rocks, buckets, bottles, forks... and pink panties? What the heck?!!

"Body of Two:" I stopped running for a moment then continued. "Two Second Delay!" I looked back and saw the first creature looked like hitting an invisible wall he bounced back and onto his friends then they all fell like dominoes. I am almost there and I hear a loud screeching from behind.

"Argh!!!" I screamed in pain when a small creature pulled my hair. "Ouch! Get off of me!" But he still kept pulling my hair and screeching until I stumbled on the stairs. I saw the others catching up so I tickled the small creature under his armpit.

"Ahehehe!" it annoyingly laughed and I grabbed a hold of him and he can't reach my hair anymore.

"Throw of four: Sixteen-pound Cannon!" I threw him to his friends and they got blown away and I continued my way to the door. I closed it shut after I entered and the door automatically locked. I can still hear the growls and screech behind the wall. But I am safe now. They can't open it.

"Water...," said Darius, and I quickly went to him.

"Here it is, Darius!" I said. "Drink all you want." I poured the water from the bottle into his mouth until he got enough.

I sat on the ground while sighing in relief. I panted and felt hot. Thank goodness I made it. Now, I just have to wait and-

The door opened. "BOYYY!!!" roared Lord Blaze when I saw him entering the room with the creatures. They surrounded me and I got nowhere to go.

A creature touched Darius's body and I slapped it. "Hey!" I yelled and they all screeched at me while walking around on her hands and feet like green monkeys.

Lord Blaze frowned at me, and he looks furious as he sweats too much. He says, "Ya destroyed me pipelines, ya injured me goblins, ya interrupted me work, ya stole me wohter from the blessed pond of Olympus, the worst thing is ya ate ma wife's cookie! And ya got through me door." He walked towards me and knelt. I am scared to look at him in the eyes so I looked to the side. This is a grownup god, and he could be far more powerful than me so I can't resist.

He held my shoulder and he screamed, "HOW DID YA DO IT?!!!" I closed my eyes when he said that because his breath is so strong and smell like tobacco.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"How did ya open the door only 'I' can open?!!!"

"I used my powers!" I screamed back at him.

He gasped along with the other creatures. "What did ya sey?" he asked in a lower voice.

"I used my powers to open the door."

"That's impossible! I made that lock out of Olympian Shteel and it will only respond to me power!"

"Olympian Steel? What is that?"

"Nevor mind that! Show it to me how ya did it!"

I nodded and they shut the door. I went to the right side of the door and "Gravitational Pull," I grunted as I used my power. I noticed some of the goblins - if that's what they're called, are getting sucked in so they held on to their buddies. I stopped my power when I heard the loud clanging of the bolt. I lifted it and it opened like a door - as it is. I looked back at them and their jaws dropped.

"Sweet lightnin' of Zeus," said Lord Blaze while shaking his head slowly.

"What?" I asked.

"This neber have happened before. An Olympian Shteel will only respond to a Prime Power they are made fer. I made that Olympian Shteel to only respond to me powers but ya- What really is yer power, boy?"

"Gravity."

"I've never heard a God of Smithin' makin' a weapon fer the Gods of Gravity befur, so meybe this is the forst toym that a God of Gravity met an Olympian Shteel."

"What is an Olympian... uhh..... Shteel?" I asked.

"Someone!" he said to the goblins. "Give 'em an ore of the Olympian Shteel."

They chattered and snarled as they searched for it and they found one from a goblin's mouth that it chewed with its sharp teeth but couldn't scratch it. Its buddies tried to hold out their hand as a gesture to give it to them but it didn't mind them and kept chewing on the ore. The other goblin pulled it out from its mouth but it can't because of its strength. They made a fuss trying to get it from the mouth of that goblin that they pinned it down and even punched it until loosened its bite but then it swallowed the ore! They all screeched as one of them stopped the ore from being completely swallowed by grabbing its throat. It coughed so hard and the ore came out with a lot of salivae. A goblin grabbed it and gave it to Lord Blaze.

"Here," he said and I received it with my palm and it is as big as my palm.

Ugh! It's so slimy and sticky and smelly! I asked, "What... should I do with this, my lord?"

"Use yer powers thru it."

"I don't know about that, my lord because I couldn't even focus my powers to occur in one spot of my body."

"Ya don' need to."

"Okay," I said and focused my power on the ore on my right palm. For a first, I will try it weaker to avoid hurting somebody in this room. "Okay," I said while inhaling and clasping the ore inside my hands then, "Boom." A small burst of deflective force came from the ore. It suddenly pushed my right hand that made me spin then slapped a goblin behind me with the back of my hand that is holding the ore. "Oh my," I reacted. "I'm sorry!" The goblin stood up with the help of his friends and it is all dizzy but kept his thumb up.

"How did it feel?" asked Lord Blaze.

"I don't know, it's like the Steel is making me sense it's there when I used my powers."

He nodded and said, "That's how Olympian Shteel works. It becomes an extension fer controlling the Prime Power of a god or even amplify it. Ya may have heard about the Relics. Let me tell ya that they are all made out of Olympian Shteel. The Legendary Relics of the Trio, Zeus's Lightnin' Bolt, Poseidon's Trident, and Hades's Pitchfork are made out of Olympian Steel. Unlike that unrefined ore ya'r holdin', each of those three Relics only responds to each of their power. Just like I'm supposed to be the only one who can open that door because I made it that wey. That bolt is made out of Olympian Shteel that only me can move, but ya was able to open it! And that is remarkable." He pulled out a huge hammer from his pocket and gave it to me. "Here, this is me special hammer that only me can use."

I held it and it is very heavy! "Argh!" I grunted as I spread my feet to be stable while lifting it.

"Now, try to activete it."

"How?"

"Using yer powers, of course."

"Okay." I focused and grunted as I released a small repulsive force. It did release a force and I concluded I activated it and I felt glad. Then it suddenly crept around like a puzzle cube and transforming into something! It's getting bigger! I let go of it because it is becoming very heavy, it clanged, and the ground shook.

"Chain me in the Depths of Tartarus...," reacted Lord Blaze while touching his beard. "Fer thousands of years, nobody realized that this power of Gravity is somethin' special. We all thought it is next to werthless."

Ugh... Does he have to say that? That hurts my feelings.

Then a goblin spoke something I can't understand to Lord Blaze but it looks like it's angry. "Oh, right," he said. "Well, boy. I have to finish my work and in the meantime, ya do everythin' to make that friend of yers get better. My goblins will help ya."

He nodded and picked up his hammer that transformed back into a small hammer. I nodded back then he entered back into the forge with his other goblins. The other goblins stayed and watched over Darius while I wondered about what does it mean that I can use Relics that aren't my own.
