HOW TO DEAL WITH THE CROWN PRINCE: Special Chapter for Halloween “Thirst at First Sight”     Yeshua was the first person who saw so many changes to the town. He’s been living the whole time in the town and he saw the people he’s been with grow up, became adults, got married, have kids, grows old, has grandchildren, got sick, and die. He saw their first generations until their present generations. Yes, he witnessed all of that. But even if he’s been with those people since they were kids, he didn’t age with them. He’s hundred years older than them. He’s someone who feeds on blood and he’s active at night. Yes, he’s a vampire. But, you don’t need to worry about him being a vampire. He feeds on animal blood. In vampire terms, he’s a vegetarian vampire. Albeit he was loved by so many people, loved by all people in the town. He still felt empty. Maybe because he’s not a human. Or maybe because of him being immortal bores him already. And he also got bored being an immortal. Everything was just being basic and boring for him. He almost did everything, every single profession as he lived in this world for hundreds of years. He even became a Crown Prince at that certain time. Everything was just a blur, for him. Not until one day, he saw someone that will change his life… and his world.   Yeshua quickly wore his tuxedo. He didn’t bother looking at his reflection since vampires don’t have one. The mayor of the town asked him to attend the party and even if he didn’t want to, he just didn’t want to be rude so he agreed. He glanced at the calendar, brownish looking, faded and worn, hanging on his wall. October of 1520 it read. “I forgot to replace the calendar. I felt so old,” he couldn’t help but chuckle as he fixed his bow tie. He had already given up on keeping track of the days. They were never-ending darkness for him, blurring together into weeks, months, years... his own personal hell of boredom. He’s actually planning to just stay for an hour at the party then he’ll go hunting some animals in the middle of the night. Tonight was no different than the parties he once attended, the party was filled with the same faces and just a few of new faces, filled which rich people and politicians, and the women were begging for a dance or attention from him—or just a quick hookup, wishing of tasting every inch of him. After drinking the red wine in his hand, he looked at the people silently. Suddenly, Yeshua’s nostrils were filled with a sweet aroma. Sweet aroma. He felt his heart skipped a beat. For hundreds of years, he never desired something like human blood but now, the sweet aroma is just too unbearable for him. He felt his fangs growing. Yeshua began to felt the thirst. The thirst that he never wished to feel. He swore that he will never, ever crave human blood. But this moment is really unbearable. His throat was burning with the desire of devouring that sweet aroma. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it,” his eyes settled on one of the waitresses who’s already on the floor picking the shards of broken glass of wine. He covered his mouth which was already agape because of his fangs the moment he saw the waitress’s wounded hand. The blood was oozing from that wound. The sweet aroma from that blood waffled on his nose. He felt himself drooling. It’s already unbearable. “I’m really sorry,” the waitress stood up and bowed at the people around her, and immediately went to the kitchen.   Yeshua couldn’t bear with it anymore. He’s thirsty. He badly wants to drink that blood. He’s craving for that girl’s sweet blood. He followed the faint scent of the blood. The smell was mixed with water and he knew that the girl went to the restroom. The moment he walked through the door’s restroom, there he saw she was standing in front of the sink, fiddling with her wet hands. There was something about her, she was human, no doubt. She looked so ordinary and she didn’t come from an aristocratic family yet she had an unnatural beauty. She’s more beautiful than all the women he saw at the party. Something drew Yeshua towards her… not just her blood… something that would not let him leave. Giselle was her name, he overheard it from the kitchen. She came from a low-income family but he didn’t care about it. He just wants to drink her blood to quench his thirst or maybe take her not just her blood but her heart and soul as well. She smelled really nice that I've never been craving like this in hundreds of years living in the human world, not until today. The thought made him feel the thrill. It’s been years since the last time he wanted someone to be his. When Giselle finished aiding her hand, she immediately turned to the door only to find Yeshua standing there, staring at her in awe. “You scared me, Monsieur Darktower.” That made Yeshua blink twice. “You… you know me?” “Uh, yes, Monsieur. All of the townspeople know the richest merchant of this land,” Giselle said. “What are you doing in the female’s restroom?” That made Yeshua stare at her, dumbfounded. This is the first time in hundred years of living that he didn’t know how to answer. “Uh… I-I… I got lost?” Silence invaded the spaces between them. No one dared to break it in the earlier seconds. Yeshua was taken with her melodic voice, her innocent laugh, and her breathtaking smile. So much so, that for a moment he forgot his thirst, but only for a moment. And so the time came, and while Yeshua felt the burning sensation in his throat and the crave to drink the girl’s blood, there was something that made him want to explain what he was, what he had endured. Whether it was the ages of loneliness that had been forced upon him, or the way she looked and smiled at him, the familiarity he found in her eyes, the understanding that seemed to embrace him. Whatever it was, in that moment of weakness he uttered words he had never before spoken. "I am a vampire, and I want your blood." Giselle did not laugh neither did she cower in fear instead she’s intrigued, amazed which Yeshua finds really strange or a relief—he doesn’t know how to indicate what he felt right now. Whatever it was, it was enough to stay his hand, to stay his thirst for her sweet blood a moment longer. Suddenly, Giselle unbuttoned her shirt to her collarbone and outstretched the cloth to reveal her neck. That made Yeshua’s eyes turned into crimson red and his fangs shining and wanting to pierce on the luscious neck in front of him. It felt like it’s not just thirst at first sight. It’s an attraction at first sight. “Bite me…” she muttered.     “AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!” Prince Yi Eul suddenly sat up from his bed and turned to Jae Kyung’s who’s currently squealing while holding a book entitled “The Vampire and the Pauper”. “What the? What the f**k is wrong with you?!” Jae Kyung looked at him in excitement, she kept on squealing. “Finally! Finally, Yeshua and Giselle are now at the next level in their relationship!!! Kyaaaah!!!!” Prince Yi Eul couldn’t help but slap his own forehead. “God, Jae Kyung. You can just read and fangirl without waking someone up!” “I can’t help it!” Jae Kyung squealed. “I can’t help it because Yeshua is my fictional crush! Giselle is so lucky that someone like Yeshua fell in love with her. Aaah~ I want to have someone like him to fall in love with me like how Yeshua fell in love with Giselle.” “What?” “Oh! Oh! The chapter is so intense like I could imagine how Giselle gorgeously told Yeshua…” without thinking, Jae Kyung slightly pulled her nightgown to reveal her neck. “Bite me,” then she squealed. “Isn’t it squeal-worthy?!” Prince Yi Eul stared at her blankly. “Yeah.” When Jae Kyung noticed how blunt Prince Yi Eul’s reaction is, she pouted. “You’re no fun at all. I’ll just gonna text Hae In to fangirl with me with Yeshua my loves—” Before she could even pull her cloth up and get her phone, Prince Yi Eul suddenly held her waist and pulled her closer to him. “What—ah!” She gasped and winced when Prince Yi Eul suddenly bit her neck. She even felt that he suck the skin of her neck. She wanted to pull away or push him away but she felt weak, like how Giselle felt when Yeshua dug his fangs on her neck, tasting every inch of her skin. Jae Kyung felt Prince Yi Eul’s lips on her neck, whispering something that made her flustered so much.     “Jae Kyung-ssi, what happened to your neck?” Do Won asked as he helped her sit on her chair. She hastily covered her neck, looking at Prince Yi Eul’s bodyguard in wide eyes. “I-I…” “Did something bit you? It looked like a bite.” “I was… bitten… by… a vampire.” “A what, Agassi?” “A vampire.” "But vampires don't exist, right?" one of the servants asked. "Your Highness, are you sure that you're okay?" "Yeah, I'm sure. I got bitten by a vampire but don't worry, I am still human. Yeah." This i***t. Prince Yi Eul couldn’t help but chuckle at his red tea.
