“Your Highnesses, it’s already morning. We prepared your breakfast.”
Three knocks woke Prince Yi Eul and Jae Kyung up. Both squinting and blinking their eyes slowly, they woke up meeting each other’s gazes—faces inches away from each other. Both of them gasped as their eyes widen.
“Hey! No hugging!” Prince Yi Eul said as he pushed Jae Kyung away.
“I’m not hugging you! You are hugging me!” Jae Kyung fired back, pushing and kicking Prince Yi Eul away.
“Aw! Hey! Hey! That hurts hey! Woah—ah!!!” the both of them pushed each other further which made them moan in pain.
“Aw, that hurts. Aw,” both of them glared at each other then they held each other’s painful spots and moaned. “Aw.”
The three servants who were waiting for them to come out gasped and looked at each other as they heard the muffled moans inside the room. They both covered their mouths and they’re obviously blushing.
“Hey, the three of you,” the three servants looked at the other servants who looked at them in a confused face. “What are you doing there? You were both ordered to wake the Crown Prince and Princess, right?”
The three servants hurriedly walked towards the other servants and pulled her away from where Prince Yi Eul and Jae Kyung stayed. “We can’t actually call them up for breakfast yet.”
“Why?” the clueless servant asked, furrowing her brows.
“They’re still doing the you know,” one of the three servants responded.
“The ‘what’?”
“You know, they’re doing the deed? It is when they’re doing it in their first night to make babies, you know?” one of the three servants explained.
The newcomer servant gasped and looked at the three other servants then they pulled each other further from the said room, both of them gasping and blushing.
“We definitely shouldn’t disturb them yet.”
“Uh, I just want to apologize for what happened last night.”
“I won’t forgive you.”
Prince Yi Eul sighed. “I just did it out of the blue and I wasn’t thinking straight before doing so.”
“Yeah, and you’re one heck of an impostor and everyone was pointing fingers at me and threw me outside the spaceship! White Crewmate is innocent! Me is innocent!!!”
Prince Yi Eul frowned and looked at Jae Kyung. “Wait, it’s not the game I am apologizing for.”
“Huh? Then what, Red?”
“It’s not what I—you know what, never mind.”
Both Jae Kyung and Prince Yi Eul silently walked on their traditional house’s lobby as the queen summoned them to the pavilion to have brunch together (both breakfast and lunch) since the both of them didn’t come out for lunch since they have to soothe their pains from wrestling and pushing each other because of a mobile game they played earlier which is Among Us.
Jae Kyung wore pink dangui and a scarlet seuran chima. Her hair was fixed in jjeokjin meorin in which the hair is brought back and tied into a bun. A long hairpin which was shaped in phoenix which is bongjam was used to fasten the bun. Her hair was fixed like that since she’s already married to the Crown Prince.
Crown Prince Yi Eul was wearing a Black Virgin Wool, handcrafted from fine hessian wool and it was designed by Dior. Of course, the Crown Prince won’t settle for less.
“The servants are so weird earlier,” Jae Kyung blurted out of the blue.
“Huh? Why? Did they do something wrong to you?” Prince Yi Eul asked, frowning.
“I don’t know they’re really weird. After you fetch me in the dressing room, they kept on giggling and blushing while looking at us,” Jae Kyung slowly brought her face closer to Prince Yi Eul. “Is that really your effect on women? Just looking at you, they’ll gonna blush so quickly? I don’t understand. You’re not even an ideal main character in a novel and yet girls are swooning over you. You’re not even that handsome, you know? Lee Jong Suk the actor is more handsome than you are.”
“Say what?”
Jae Kyung grinned to tease him but ended up gasping when Prince Yi Eul held her waist and pulled her closer to him. “What was that again?”
Shit, I never expected him to do something like this.
Don't, Jae Kyung. Don't let your guard down! Don't make him see you get affected because you're not!
“Uh—” Jae Kyung muttered. She averted her gaze but Prince Yi Eul kept staring at her so she met his gaze. “This is against the contract. We agreed, right? We can’t hug each other."
“Yes, we did,” Prince Yi Eul responded. “But we have guests, and they’re looking at us right now.”
Jae Kyung turned her head to the right and she gasped when she saw Princess Chae Rin and Prince Yi Ryeo watching them. Princess Chae Rin was wearing a blue dangui and Prince Yi Ryeo was wearing a suit from Ralph Lauren, she presumed. She abruptly pulled herself away from Prince Yi Eul and bowed at the prince and princess. “Go-Good morning, Your Highnesses.”
She, then, turned her head towards Prince Yi Eul and glared at him. “Why didn’t you tell me they’re here watching us?! And why did you do that?!”
“Nothing. Just find it amusing. Especially when I saw someone’s reaction.”
“Huh?”
Prince Yi Eul bowed at Princess Chae Rin. “Good morning, Your Highness,” Prince Yi Eul raised his head and his eyes settled on Prince Yi Ryeo who’s intensely looking at him and Jae Kyung. The side of his lips went up, showcasing a smirk. “Good morning, my cousin.”
Prince Yi Ryeo pursed his lips and bowed at the both of them. “Good morning, Your Highnesses.”
Jae Kyung moved her gaze from Prince Yi Eul to Prince Yi Ryeo then back to Prince Yi Eul. Confusion was written on her face as soon as she saw how the two gave each other a straight face.
“Is it me or I actually felt that there’s some tension going on?”
Jae Kyung flinched when Prince Yi Eul held her hand, making her look at him. “We’re actually going to the pavilion for lunch since daebi-mama was there as well. Would you like to join us, Your Highnesses?”
Princess Chae Rin smiled at him in response. “Of course, Your Highness. It’s a pleasure.”
“Great. Let’s go,” Prince Yi Eul said, smiling at them as he gently pulled Jae Kyung to walk ahead as Princess Chae Rin and Prince Yi Ryeo followed suit.
“Is it me or you’re actually rude towards them?” Jae Kyung asked, whispering to the Crown Prince.
“Me? Rude? Why would I?” Prince Yi Eul asked, chuckling. Using his thumb, he soothed Jae Kyung’s hand. “Of course, not.”
“Stop doing that, it’s creepy,” Jae Kyung said, referring to Prince Yi Eul soothing her hand.
“Bear with it,” Prince Yi Eul said as soon as they finally entered the pavilion. “They’re all watching at us.”
Jae Kyung’s eyes settled on Queen Jang Eun who’s now sitting on her throne-like seat with her secretary and servants around, bowing at them.
Jae Kyung couldn’t help but internally whine. “This is Day One, and things are getting rough from here.”
