오십 사의 왕관 (54)       Prince Yi Eul was staring at the files he’s holding as the Prime Minister kept on talking about something that he’s not interested in anymore. He’s not in his usual focus right now. The events from yesterday still flashing in his mind right now. “I didn’t mean it… the dating, the news, all that stuff… I didn’t mean it…” Da Hyun said, almost pleading for his attention to listen to her. “I’ve been longing for you that I tried my best to protect our relationship but here you are, getting married to someone else!” He’ll be going to admit, he actually felt happy that for the first time, Da Hyun finally said her feelings towards him. He’s been waiting for her to say what she felt without hesitation. They’ve been dating each other ever since high school and albeit he’s aware that Da Hyun loves him just like how he loves her, he still wanted to know what she really felt towards him—with or without his title as the Crown Prince. And yes, for the first time, she finally said what she really felt about him. He should be happy about it. That’s natural that he’ll feel happy about it. But for some reason, he can’t. Jae Kyung’s face and expression as she saw him with Da Hyun suddenly flashed on his mind. His left brow twitched at the thought. “Why did you leave me? I waited for you in that place and yet you left me like that.” “B-Because… because you’re talking to Da Hyun… I don’t want to interrupt. I know you wanted to talk—” “How dare you decide things for me like that? Haven’t you forgotten? I am the Crown Prince. My words and my decisions are the law. You shouldn’t have left me like that. You are my wife now. You should’ve done what a wife should do if they see their man with another woman.” “T-That’s not how it works…” “Damn,” he muttered under his breath, slightly fidgeting onto his wedding ring. Why her expression bothers me a lot? That damn girl. “Your Highness? Your Highness?” Prince Yi Eul’s eyes settled on the Prime Minister who was now looking at him in a confused yet worried expression. “Are you okay, Your Highness?” “Jeonha! Jeonha! Are you okay?!” Albeit his vision was getting blurry, he could see the worried face of Jae Kyung trying to get him out of the car. Prince Yi Eul gritted his teeth then he silently breathe deeply and smiled at the Prime Minister who’s just staring blankly at him. “Yes, I’m okay, Prime Minister. Carry on.”     He could finally heave a sigh. As soon as Prince Yi Eul finally entered the backseat of the limousine, he immediately leaned his back on the backrest, felt so tired from everything he did this morning. Or more like he got tired of everything he thought earlier. “Are you okay, Your Highness? You seemed not feeling well. Do you want to go home?” Secretary Jeong asked him. Prince Yi Eul stared at the window, seeing the buildings and trees come and go on his sight as they passed by. It took him seconds to answer his secretary. “Let’s go to the queen’s place,” he muttered. It took again seconds for him to speak again. “Jae Kyeongi bogo siptta.” I want to see Jae Kyung.     “You look more beautiful when you smile,” he responded as he gave her the rose which she subconsciously accepted. “After the wedding, I didn’t see you for a while so I actually want to pay you a visit since I kinda miss talking to you… with all the jokes and all.” “Huh. You’re so fond of my jokes, huh?” “Of course… not just that either.” What a sight. As soon as Prince Yi Eul arrived at the palace, he saw Jae Kyung talking to Prince Yi Ryeo with all smiles and shits. She’s more radiating whenever the Grand Prince is around. Jeongmal kkolsanaun gwanggyongiya. Her smile was brighter when she’s with the Grand Prince than the Crown Prince himself. Oh, she even laughed and at his jokes as if they were close. Prince Yi Eul couldn’t help but grit his teeth. He took a deep breath before calling her. “Jae Kyung-ah.” As soon as Jae Kyung heard the Crown Prince's voice, she immediately turned her head at him and smiled. “Jeonha!” Prince Yi Eul opened his arms and gave the princess eye contact. Jae Kyung held her chima and walked towards him and gave him a hug. Of course, Prince Yi Eul hugged her, tighter than what she gave him. “Did you miss me?” “Eung,” Jae Kyung nodded. “I really missed you so much.” “Good,” Prince Yi Eul murmured as he held her head, kissing her hair. “But I miss you more that’s why I finished all my appointments this morning so I could have lunch with you.” “You’re not the only one. I miss you more, though.” His lips traveled to her earlobe and whispered. “Good job, my wife.” Jae Kyung rolled her eyes and secretly punched his side. She, then, whispered. “Seriously, you should pay me double with this skinship.” The side of the Crown Prince’s lips quirked up as he saw Prince Yi Ryeo’s expression changed. “Yeah, I will. That’s how much I love you.” That actually made Jae Kyung creased her brows. “Wait, what is he talking about?” Seriously, she didn’t notice it? Prince Yi Eul was laughing in his mind as soon as he saw Grand Prince Yi Ryeo’s blank expression. But it doesn’t matter though. Cause what’s mine will always be mine. “I have to go now,” Prince Yi Ryeo said. Jae Kyung gently pulled herself from Prince Yi Eul’s hug but the latter was still holding her waist. “Already? But I was really expecting that you’ll gonna have lunch with us,” Jae Kyung told him. “Right, Your Highness,” Prince Yi Eul interrupted. “You should’ve stayed with us for lunch.” Prince Yi Ryeo smiled at them. “I’d love to but I have an appointment along with Her Highness (referring to his mom) as well. Maybe next time.” “Is that so?” Jae Kyung pouted then waved her hand at her. “Okay then, bye-bye. See you again~” The Grand Prince smiled and waved at her. “See you again, Your Highness.” Prince Yi Ryeo’s eyes settled at Prince Yi Eul who’s now staring at him coldly. He, then, walked past him and whispered. “Watch your girl.” With an arrogant smirk, Prince Yi Eul responded. “Watch your mouth.” They stared once more at each other and the Grand Prince finally left them. “Hey, seriously, I’m hungry.” “I want to it Odeng-guk.” “Here? In the queen’s place? Are you serious?” “You’ll make it, right?” “In your dreams, Your Highness.”
