Well, coming home that night after sneaking out of Elijah's house, if that was even his house, didn't exactly go over very well. For one, I'm not allowed to see Vera anymore and then I go and accidentally tell my parents that I was with her at a club when a fight at the bar broke out and I sort of got behind one of the hits by accident. At least they didn't catch me in my lie. Needless to say, this time, I'm grounded for two weeks and I'm only on day eight.
Grounding may not seem all that bad to most kids and maybe some can still escape. Here? Me? Not likely. Here, the security gets doubled when I'm grounded.
