I woke up with a massive headache. In an attempt to move my arms, I found that I was tied to the chair. My eyes stung with pain as I attempted to look around. I couldn’t see much. It was dark, but I could smell mildew in the air and I could feel it was chilly. My body ached with pain as though I had put it through the worst work out of my life. I heard a groan from behind me. “Whose is there?” My voice was harsh and my throat was sore. “It’s Maria. I am tied to the chair behind you.” Her accent was still thick, but I could hear the panic in her voice. “Do you know where we are and why we are here?” “No, I only remember someone grabbing me after I called you.” “Have you found a way out?” I whispered. With how dark it was, I couldn’t tell if anyone was present besides us. “No.”
