Chapter 9: Betrayal

Living in this house is pretty fun and it has been going well. We haven't killed each other yet and we have a lot of fun together.

I don't talk a lot with Carter. Ever since the others listed up everything, I've done to him since he came here, I've actually felt pretty bad. Shameful. I didn't try to run him over with my car though. Carter just came out of nowhere and I stopped the car before I could hit him. It was a close one though. I may not like him very much, but I wouldn't actually kill him.

I still get those hate letter. It's not fun. They're getting more and more threatening. I'm letting the others know that I'm not effected by the letters, even though I am. I refuse to seem weak, refuse to! I'm not weak! I'm Emma Adams for crying out loud, I'm fearless. But those letters are creeping me out.

I put a grape in my mouth and let the sweet, yet sour taste spread in my mouth. Grapes are my favorite fruit, or is it berries? I don't care, I just love them. They're tiny, they're full of so many flavors and they are so damn good. I moan at the taste and put three more in my mouth.

"Geez get a room why do yah!" Chris laughs. 

I glare at him but start laughing as well. Maybe I moan way too much when I eat grapes. The rest starts laughing. We actually laugh a lot, we always have fun together.

"Not that we don't enjoy listening to your grape s*x", Gavin says.

"Then you better leave the living room", I say before putting more grapes in my mouth.

I moan loudly on purpose. The guys laugh and walk out of the living room. They run upstairs and leaves us girls down here.

"God, guys are impossible sometimes", Julia says. "Anything can turn them on".

"Yeah, it's funny though", I say. "Oh, I've read that if boys sit on a bus or a car or something and it shakes or drive over a bump and something in their crotch gets caressed, they can get a boner".

The girls start laughing along with me.

"Thank god I'm not a boy!" Mia laughs.

"Oh yeah, I love being a girl too much", Belle says.

"Yeah it's fun besides having menstrual cramps every month", I say. "That sucks!"

"Yeah tell me about it", Sophia says sighing. "Remember about a week ago when I got mine? Chris thought I was going to die".

I start laughing at the memory. Since we haven't lived with the boys before, Chris and the boys hasn't seen us have our cramps. Sophia’s was so bad; she could barely stand up. Chris wanted to take her to the hospital. We had to talk him out of it since we know how it can be. 

"I swear girls are stronger than guys", Julia says. "I mean we have menstrual cramps every month, we have dead eggs flowing out of us as blood and we have to push a baby out of our v****a when we have a baby, our breasts make our backs hurt if they're too big, we get boob milk and feed babies with our breasts and the pressure of looking good is hanging all over us and the worst thing that could happen to a guy is to get kicked on his crotch".

Yeah that's so true. Boys don't know how lucky they are to be boys.

"Yeah and don't forget how much chocolate girls are usually craving when they get their period", Belle says.

"Yeah I could eat chocolate for like twenty people when I get my period", I say. "God I would be fat if I actually did".

And that's true. I may eat a little bit of chocolate, I'm not satisfied with the amount I give myself, but I can't eat too much. Seriously I'd be so unhealthy if ate the amount of chocolate my body is craving once a month, because of my period.

"Yeah omg", Julia laughs.

"As I see it, boys really shouldn't complain and if they call me weak, I'll chop their balls off", Sophia says.

I finish eating my grapes and suddenly feel sad. I want more.

"Hey, do we have more grapes in this house?" I ask.

"Sorry doll you ate them all", Julia says and rimes on purpose.

I sigh frustrated and stand up. I have to get myself more grapes. "Anyone want to come with to buy more grapes?" I ask.

"Yeah, I want to go out", Mia says, standing up.

The rest of the girls stands up. As we're walking to the front door, I realize that my wallet is in my room. I sigh. "I'm just going to run up and grab my wallet", I tell the girls and they nod as I run towards the staircase and run up to the second floor.

I slow down as I hear voices coming from my room. What the hell? I stand outside the room close to the wall, listening.

"Lucas, hey put it down", I hear Carter say. "This isn't kind, just put it down and let's leave her room".

"Listen to this", Lucas says. "The hate letters I get are creepy, they're freaking me out but I'm trying not to be effected. I hate that I get them, but I'm fearless so I'm not going to let it bother me, I'm not, I'm fearless!" 

My eyes widen. My diary. They're reading my diary! I bolt inside the room, furious. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I roar. "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY ROOOOOM!"

I run up to Lucas and hold back my tears as I take my diary from his hands and ram it into his head multiple times.

"STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!" I yell as I hit him.

Someone pulls me away. Gavin.

"Let go of me!" I yell. "You read my diary, laughed at me and I don't get to become angry?!"

"Emma..." I cut Isaac off.

"Out of my f*****g room!" I yell. "GET OUT!"

They don't hesitate one second. They all run out and I'm still struggling with the tears. 

I throw my green diary on my bed, take my wallet and room key. I lock my bedroom door when I walk out. I walk downstairs. I have a hard time holding back my tears. I'm not going to cry. I refuse to cry.

"Emma what happened?" Julia asks. "We heard you scream".

"Your stupid boyfriends and Carter", I say angry. "They read my diary!"

"What?!" They scream angrily.

"LUCAS LESLIE CROWN COME DOWN HERE THIS INSTANCE", Julia roars.

Reading someone else's diary is a big betrayal, one of the biggest. Something to be punished for and believe me, I'm going punish them. Everyone is intitled to their own privacy, so I really don’t understand where they got the nerve to do what they did. Right now, I hate them all. They betrayed me, they have also betrayed my trust, they know I don't trust easily. Why would they do this?
